Every moment the body changes in some way. Over time, the body transitions from childhood to youth to adulthood to old age. This continuous change itself is a form of death. What we call Death is only a change of body. The soul must accept a new body depending on past karmas and subtle impressions accumulated over many lives.
The body is for the indweller (the soul), what garments are for the body. Just as we discard old garments, the soul will one day discard this body and accept a new one. In fact, Death is just the soul's transition from one body to the next. The body is merely a garment for the soul, which is deathless.
That which doesnot undergo change or 'death', alone is worth seeking.
~Bhagvad Gita 2.22

Content with whatever gain life presents on it's own, unaffected by the pairs of opposites (pleasure & pain, success & failure, fame & notoriety), free from envy, the wise man acts dutifully, but is not mentally bound down by his actions.
Perform your duties fearlessly, ready to meet any consequences of your actions. This is the formula for complete and enduring success.

Why do people do wrong, though they know they don't want to? Often we seem to be propelled by an unseen force to do things we know are wrong.
Is it someone outside that makes us do wrong?🤔 No. It is not really an external entity or circumstance which is responsible at the core.
It is our own desires within which prompt us to act in a certain way. Desires may initially take the form of a wish or liking. This happens when the senses perceive pleasurable objects in the present, the mind recollects pleasures from the past & intellect starts imagining and fantasizing about pleasures in the future. Desires gathers strength by constant thinking. If not fulfilled, it brings anger, frustration & misjudgment.
In the Gita it is advised to not act out of our likes and dislikes, which are like internal enemies. Instead we should do what our conscience & intellect think is Right 👍

WHAT LOVE NEEDS TO SURVIVE
The Buddha said that nothing survives without food, including love. If you don’t know how to nourish and feed your love, it will die. If we know how to feed our love every day it will stay for a long time. One way we nourish our love is by being conscious of what we consume. Many of us think of our daily nourishment only in terms of what we eat. But in fact, there are four kinds of food that we consume every day. They are: edible food (what we put in our mouths to nourish our bodies), sensory food (what we smell, hear, taste, feel, and touch), volition (the motivation and intention that fuels us), and consciousness (this includes our individual consciousness, the collective consciousness, and our environment).

Fear sees limits, while love sees possibilities. Each attitude will be justified by the belief system you cherish. Change your allegiance from fear to love, and love will sustain you wherever you walk. A Course in Miracles tells us, “Love cannot be far behind a grateful heart and thankful mind …These are the true conditions for your homecoming.”

Sometimes the master can do very trivial things, and the thing will happen. And ordinarily, even if a Shiva goes on talking about one hundred and twelve methods, nothing will happen because the preparation is not there. You can throw seeds on stones, but nothing will happen. The fault is not of the seeds. You can throw a seed out of season, but nothing will happen. The fault is not of the seed. The right season is needed, the right moment is needed, the right soil is needed. Only then will the seed become alive and transform.

Lord Krsna says "I am the substratum on which everything else (including time, space, all forms) is based. Everything rests on Me like pearls strung on a thread. There is nothing higher than the divine."
The fractional perceiver sees only individual beads. Just because the underlying supporting thread is not visible, that doesn't mean it isn't there. The holistic perceiver also sees the thread that HOLDS the beads together in a beautiful necklace. Holistic perception leads to ultimate perfection.

"After meditating for some years, I began to see the patterns of my own behavior. As you quiet your mind, you begin to see the nature of your own resistance more clearly, struggles, inner dialogues, the way in which you procrastinate and develop passive resistance against life. As you cultivate the witness, things change. You don't have to change them. Things just change."

"Many people cannot allow themselves the time to sit and do nothing but breathe. They consider it to be uneconomical or a luxury. People say “time is money.” But time is much more than money. Time is life. The simple practice of sitting quietly on a regular basis can be profoundly healing. Stopping and sitting is a good way to focus on mindful breathing and nothing else."

The Lotus blooms in muddy water, yet its petals remain unaffected.
Similarly, a person who performs his duties well but is not attached to the results, and dedicates his actions to the Supreme Lord, is not tainted by sin.

" ‘I am the body’ is a thought. ‘I am the mind’ is a thought. ‘I am the doer’ is a thought. Worry is only a thought. Fear is only a thought. ... Watch your thoughts. Give attention to your thoughts.
Just by giving attention to your thoughts and letting them go, they lose the ability to convince you about anything or make you suffer. What used to feel like a [snake] earlier is now only a burnt rope. It has no power.

"In between two thoughts, what is there? You cannot think two thoughts at the same time. Try it and see. It cannot be done.
One has to stop before another one starts. In between the stop of one thought and the start of another, what is there? You are there!
But this you is not a person. It is the great emptiness, the womb and source of the universe.
Awaken to your timeless and immutable Self."
