r/SpaceX CRS-19 Booster Recovery Discussion & Updates Thread!
Hello! I'm u/Gavalar_, I'm the guy who stalks the SpaceX boats on Twitter and, I guess, Reddit too!About The RecoveryCRS-19 was originally planned as an RTLS to LZ-1. SpaceX decided to shift the landing to the Of Course I Still Love You droneship (~345km downrange) because Stage 2 is to perform a thermal demonstration for 6 hours which requires extra performance from stage 1 - via a longer burn time. SpaceX has deployed OCISLY, GO Quest and Hawk to carry out the recovery operation. As this is a Dragon mission - which does not require encapsulation in a fairing - there is no fairing recovery for this mission. Current Recovery Fleet StatusVesselRoleStatusHawkOCISLY TugboatAt the landing zoneGO QuestDroneship support shipAt the landing zone Estimated Arrival TimesVesselETAOCISLYtbc! - Probably Sunday/Monday Live UpdatesTimeUpdateDecember 5th - 12:37 EDTSuccessful landing of Falcon 9 Core B1059.1 on the Of Course I Still Love You Droneship! Links & ResourcesMarineTrafficRecovery Zone Map - Thanks to u/Raul74CzSpaceXFleet Updates on TwitterSpaceXFleet.com - SpaceXFleet Information!Jetty Park Webcam - Webcam looking at Port Canaveral entrance.

After redesigns, extra tests & setbacks, SpaceX sees the finish line in the development of the Crew Dragon spaceship. A few more parachute tests & a critical in-flight abort demonstration remain before a flight with astronauts, perhaps as soon as February.
