She claims America’s main strawberry brand, Driscoll’s, uses up to 371 chemical pesticides, including substances described as mosquito spray and carcinogens. She also says the berries are lab-engineered clones, treated in fungicide baths, bleached with chlorine, and sealed in plastic so tightly that washing cannot remove residue.
