This makes it difficult for intelligence agencies to intercept communications, even if Durov were to crack under pressure.

2. History of Resistance to Government Demands: Pavel Durov and Telegram have a strong track record of resisting government pressure to provide access to user data. Durov has previously faced challenges from Russian and other governments and consistently refused to comply.

3. Decentralized Infrastructure: Telegram operates on a decentralized infrastructure with servers spread across different countries. This complicates any attempt by a single government or agency to gain full access to the platform’s backend.
