this. The most explicit call for arrests came from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney last week, when he returned from a meeting of over 50 countries connected with Europe. He said Canada, the European Union, Australia, and other countries all agreed to a "belief in Democracy, the rule of law, and that we are all equal before that law. Those who transgress those rules and laws must be prosecuted and brought to justice...The system that existed atter the war to prosecute war criminals has been greatly weakened and needs to be rebuilt and rebuilt in a way, maybe a different way, to ensure this."
