The sentimental Mister Dickens wrote a famous book featuring a Christmas spirit. I'm not a sentimental person myself, but looking at a lovely beach under increasingly grey skies, I couldn't help thinking that summer must have its own spirit. When the nights grow longer and the sun sinks lower, it packs its things: all those forgotten sunglasses, discarded beer bottles, and endless cocktail straws. It puts on its best bikini and leaves this place.

Услышав, что по-белоруски "спутник" это "спадарожнік", я немного удивился. Потом подумал: спутник, приставка "с", корень "пут(ь"), можно использовать и приставку "по", и выйдет близкое слово "попутчик". В белорусском очень похоже, но от корня "дорог(а)".

P.S. поскольку я не лингвист и не филолог - сильно не ругаться, если я всё напутал.
