The Democrats are in one of their weakest positions in decades. If they nominate a senile corpse just because of his long career as a tool and he loses to their never-ending nightmare, they’ll once again blame the Bernie people for not voting, and nobody is going to care but their own marginal, well off PMC base. They’re just a party of losers that complain and blame everyone else at this point, and who will they be blaming? A popular movement that wants healthcare, housing, to actually try to fight and prepare for climate change? Not exactly comic book villains.

Just let them take their L and complain that they’re victims of leftist factionalism. They’re not sympathetic at all to anyone. They’re losers going with the same strategy they used with Hillary. If they win they get to claim they were right all along and Trump was a fluke, that change is impractical. Don’t let them have it. They’re holding us hostage by saying they’re the only thing between us and the Nazis even though they specifically helped manufacture the radicalization of the right wing. It’s their strategy to hold us hostage, they aren’t blameless.
