i built a tool for quickly scrubbing metadata from images and selectively blurring faces and identifiable features. it runs on a phone or computer, and doesn't send info anywhere. process your images so that you and others are safe: everestpipkin.github.io/image…
Y'all've had a reason to wear masks capable of filtering riot gasses into stores and banks for the past few months and not seem out of place. There's no excuse not to at these protests. Bare faces and people wearing masks incorrectly should be firmly rejected.
It's too late in the pandemic to tolerate a substantial fraction of protestors shouting their lung-biscuits all over the community they claim to stand for. The willful ignorant aren't going to 'wake up' from some gentle education, they're a sleepwalker and they're no more a part of the community you march with than a band of right-wing infiltrators.
Fabric masks don't protect the wearer, they protect those around them.
Ignorance is deadly violence.
