Liberty is when your forced to sell your labor power on a market place or you die. Liberty is when you have the right to pollute the environment, spend billions of dollars denying its happening, and then receive no punishment for what you've done to the world. Liberty is when you live in a country that has the highest prison population in the world. Liberty is when you colonize land, violate treaties with the people made them with and kill them. Liberty is when you consider people 3/5 of a persons and enslave them.
Liberty is when corporations control your entire fucking media, and use every bit of it to crush your ability to organize a meaningful opposition to their hegemony. Liberty is when they make being your ideology a crime, target you through intelligence agencies, and ruin your fucking life with slanders.
Liberty is when you can pass laws to restrict what women can do with their bodies. Liberty is when you can invade other countries, completely wipe them out on false pretenses, then fit the bill to the poorest of your country with austerity, and continue to occupy them as an invading force. Liberty is when you overthrow governments elected by people themselves when they implement socialist policies. Liberty is when your entire conversations are monitored 24/7 by intelligence agencies.

I think one must remember that Anarchists and Communists both seek to strive the same goal, which is a Socialist society ruled by the left, clamping firmly on the rightist Bourgeoisie. Just that they have different ideas on how it should be ruled and both sides have fair criticisms over the other.
A fully single party dictatorship may not be a perfect representation of the proletariat nor a perfect bastion of socialism. Furthermore having that much power concentrated into a single dictator is susceptible to abuse of power for selfish needs. Having heavy intrusion into privacy for surveillance is also understandably terrifying, even for leftist obeying citizens.
A self-ruled individualist society is susceptible to an easy counterattack by the bourgeoisie because there's barely any proper authority enforcing Socialism. A nation with no government is a more chaotic one with zero structure.
