Increasingly more and more students are having this clarity.
Of letting go of the “fame” or “prestige” that’s associated with mindless pursuits of exams or jobs (that they have no idea about) but are told to pursue (by this unknown world and its society).
The number is far more than what I witnessed a decade ago even when the start-up revolution was making headlines daily.
Yesterday, I took a complete day off from work and I ended up wondering sitting in front of my book rack “what’s the purpose of having all this knowledge”, “what can I do with the knowledge or stories or examples contained in all these books”.
Today morning it suddenly hit me (which again is an outcome of an end-oriented mindset).
There’s a purpose, there’s a purpose to reading it all up.
It’s to become more “awake” than what I have been.
To be more present in the “moment” than how I have been.
To break free from my own “ideas” of existence and relate with others.
And to witness “thought”.
I think after being “Sleepy” for almost half a decade, I now want to be “Awake” as well.
Awake to make sense of how sometimes unique and sometimes incomprehensible this all is.
That, reality can still be witnessed and channelised for relatively more lasting happiness and satisfaction.
That, just accumulating knowledge is an act of satisfaction too without being buried under the burden of how to use it all.
To start a series just to share what I’ve read, interpreted, witnessed and imagined in these last few decades of my being.
Sharing knowledge just for the sake of spreading knowledge.
With no particular end in mind.
Just pure knowledge.
A great initiative by shekhar sir!
Eagerly waiting for this one.
