Stream Brand Assistant chats now supports images
By uploading images such as designs, screenshots, product photos, or ads, you can:
- Extract and analyze text from images
- Check compliance with brand guidelines
- Get targeted feedback on creative work
- Ask open-ended questions about image content
- Use image context for brainstorming and briefing
Image can be up to 20 MB, with a total image size limit of 50 MB per chat.

Sitecore Marketplace received a big update!
Marketplace is the home for extending and customizing Sitecore with brand new capabilities. The Marketplace now supports multiple app architecture and authorization options and granular app access control.
- Full-stack apps - you can now build full-stack Marketplace apps, which have both client-side and server-side components. Full-stack apps let you make direct server-side API requests to Sitecore APIs. This is especially useful for AI-powered apps and agentic workflows because AI tools are typically server-side. For simpler UI extensions, you can continue using the client-side architecture.
- Custom authorization - for apps that need to make server-side API requests to Sitecore APIs, use custom authorization. This involves creating client credentials for your app. If you don't have this requirement, you can continue using the Marketplace SDK's built-in authorization.
- App access - Cloud Portal organization admins and owners can now control which team members with an Organization User role have access to each installed Marketplace app. Grant or revoke access individually for each user and each app to ensure the right people have access to the right tools.

Three Sitecore AI Misconceptions Busted
Every week I see the same questions in Sitecore channels, forums, and support tickets. Here are three fixable misconceptions, cleared up once and for all:
❌ Misconception 1: "XM Cloud is gone - I need to migrate"
✅ On November 10, 2025, XM Cloud was simply rebranded to Sitecore AI. No migration. No breaking changes. Full data continuity. Your customisations, integrations, and content all still work.
Some docs still say "XM Cloud" - that's just assets being updated incrementally. Old URLs still resolve. If you were an XM Cloud customer, you're already a Sitecore AI customer 🏠
❌ Misconception 2: "All AI features are free"
✅ AI is included with no token-based pricing - great news! But your access depends on your Stream tier:
- Stream Free: Projects + basic AI
- Stream Premium: Brand Kits, Brand Assistant + advanced AI
Brand Kits missing? It's not a bug - it's a tier thing.
Also: the Builder licence (for custom agents in Agentic Studio) is separate. 5 are included by default, more are purchasable.

✅ Agentic Studio has a strict prerequisite chain. Miss one step and it silently disappears from nav, no error, no warning.
Here's the exact sequence:
1. Enable Stream in Sitecore Cloud Portal at org level
2. Explicitly add your account as a Stream user in Cloud Portal
3. Only then will Agentic Studio appear in the nav (look for "Agentic" or the AI icon top-right)
4. Assign a role (User or Editor) via Cloud Portal invite — note: users only show up in the list after opening Agentic Studio once
Still stuck? Check Stream is enabled, not just licensed — and that the invite was accepted
