The “extremist” label is quite stupid given that “extremism” is relative.
A traditionalist is “extreme” in the eyes of the reformist, and the reformist is still “extreme” in the eyes of the radical secularist.
What modern Muslims don’t realize is that the more you compromise on principles and rulings, the more you leave actual practicing Muslims vulnerable to being labelled as “extremists” and to all the consequences that come with that.

In this clip, Mark Hanson, AKA Hamza Yusuf, does the following: - Calls the idea of Islamic Law coming back a “modern fantasy”. - Outright says he is against the implementation of Sharīʿah. - Says that the Sharīʿah is “long gone, and has been long gone”.
To anyone who still defends this individual after seeing these clips and knowing his reality:
May Allāh raise you with him!
May Allāh raise you with him!

“My teacher taught me XYZ is permitted”.
“Shaykh X said Y and Z is not an issue”.
“But Shaykh X did Y before so Z isn’t ḥarām”.
Fiqh isn’t a free for all. There are authorities in the Dīn that we refer back to.
And when a scholar has a track record for coming up with strange and anomalous views that go against ijmāʿa, common sense would tell you that such a person is not reliable in fiqh.
Not everything is “open to ijtihād”.

Imām al-Kawtharī writes:
“My advice to all Muslims across the lands is that if rulings are to be enforced among them contrary to what Allah has legislated, they should remain steadfast upon the Shari‘ah of Allah, glorified be He, in their personal affairs without seeking judgment from the Taghūt, even if the Muftis issue fatwas for them… "No harm will come to you from those who have gone astray if you are guided."”

For those that are unaware:
Haj Amīn al-Husseinī was a colonial agent and an Arab nationalist. He even went as far as to declare the ʿAlawīs as Muslims, all for the sake of “pan-Arabism”. That alone puts a massive shubha on his Islām as I find it extremely hard to believe that he wasn’t aware of their beliefs.

Let’s stop promoting his pictures as some symbol of Islām or Palestinian resistance, please and thanks.

Islam is not compatible with the west.
Islam is pure and perfect.
The west is filthy and degenerate.
