Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī (رحمه الله)’s refutation of modernists and lā-madhhabīs:

‎If a fool asks you: ❝How can people be restricted to the opinions of specific scholars and prevented from ijtihād or from following other Imāms of the religion?❞

‎❝It is said to him: Just as the Ṣaḥābah (رضي الله عنهم), gathered the people on one reading of the Qurʾān and forbade them from reading in different dialects across various lands, seeing that the welfare could not be achieved otherwise, and realizing that if the people were left to read in multiple dialects, they would fall into the greatest of perils.

‎Similarly, the matters of ʾaḥkām and fatāwā on what is ḥalāl and ḥarām, if not regulated by the sayings of a limited number of renowned scholars, would lead to the corruption of religion. This would result in every foolish pretender seeking leadership to consider himself among the ranks of the diligent scholars [mujtahidīn] fabricating opinions and attributing them to some of the early predecessors. Perhaps through deliberate distortion [taḥrīf], as has often happened with some of the Ẓāhirī’s or it might be an opinion that was a mistake by some of the predecessors that the jamāʿat of Muslims agreed to abandon. Thus, the welfare [maṣlaḥah] demands nothing other than what Allah has decreed and ordained by unifying the people.❞

Why do you always feel the need to use THEIR understanding of “intelligence” and “progress” to defend our Dīn when we don’t agree with their worldview or the way that they define these terms???

And stop repeating and spreading this feminist fantasy about the mythical Fatimah al-Fihri. Layers on top of layers of lies and historical inaccuracies.

To be fair, a lot of women nowadays aren’t able to carry out basic duties that are expected of a traditional woman. A lot of them are going to be working anyways because of their “careers” and they are adamant on doing so because they went to school and got a degree. If the man has no ghayrah and is alright with his wife leaving the house and working outside, then she might as well contribute to the bills. Women working takes away from the rights of the man due to the woman’s time, energy, and attention being occupied by her work. If she then keeps all that money she makes and doesn’t contribute financially, and she also doesn’t fulfill his rights or carry out her duties in the home due to her being occupied with her work, what is the point of even being married to such a woman? That is a leech. Not a wife.

If you think a woman with 50 black belts is going to be able to take on the average man, you have a few loose screws.

All you’re going to do is delude her, give her a false sense of confidence that will surely backfire in any serious situation, and worst of all, masculinize her.

No Difference Between Muslim and Non-Muslim Women in the Prohibition of Men Looking at Them

“If this strange freewoman is a disbelieving woman, is she the same as a believing woman in terms of (the scope of) permissibility of men looking at her or is she subject to a lesser degree of prohibition? It appears she is the same as a believing woman in this regard. I am not aware of anything different. This equivalence is necessary because she is the same (as a believing woman) in motivating desire and in the onlooker being subject to fitnah. In fact, one may be more easily tempted by her given his knowledge of the (increased) desire in someone with no (religious) deterrent.” (Iḥkām al-Naẓar fī Aḥkām al-Naẓar, Dār al-Qalam, p.406)

Misuse of Statements from Ḥasan al-Baṣrī and Ibrāhīm al-Nakha‘ī on Looking at Non-Muslim Women

Some have irresponsibly used statements from Ḥasan al-Baṣrī and Ibrāhīm al-Nakha‘ī found in biographical works to justify deliberately looking at the hair and other body parts of non-Muslim women. Apart from the authenticity of these statements being questionable, they likely refer to accidental glances in specific contexts rather than permissive rulings on deliberate or lingering looks.

Debunked: Attempts to Justify Ikhtilāṭ by Distorting Samrā’ bint Nahīk Narration

Attempting to justify ikhtilāṭ, an individual cited an alleged incident involving the female companion, Samrā’ bint Nahīk, claiming she mixed and spoke with men and exercised authority over them in the marketplace during ‘Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb’s رضي الله عنه time. He claimed the account is “authentic” and shows that “close”/“intimate” interactions would take place between men and women in that era.
