I think what this story actually illustrates and proves is that Islām isn’t even being taught properly in the first place. This is just one of thousands of examples. Someone who contemplates leaving Islām because “a Muslim was mean 😢” is probably not even…
The comments I received (on X/Twitter) do not only prove every single point that I made in the post, but also serve as further evidence that the majority of you people struggle with comprehension and critical-thinking, and deeply lack the ability to think objectively.
May Allāh guide us all.
May Allāh guide us all.

I am thoroughly convinced that the majority of Ṭullāb today study the Dīn for all the wrong reasons.
All I see is jokes, memes, and constant debate on matters that do not impact 99.999% of the Ummah in any real way.
But when it comes to the serious issues that are legitimately impacting us, anyone who discusses them is not taken seriously. Anything that infringes on the personality-worship of these cults on here is labelled “extreme”, “fitna” and “lacking adab/hikmah”.
We need to start focusing on teaching CORE BASICS to the masses of laypeople. The ones who now freak out when they hear that kuffar go to Jahannam, because that is how bad it has gotten.
You people need to get out of your echo-chambers. You have roles and responsibilities to fulfill as people who have more ʿilm than the average person.
Despite ʿilm being more accessible today than ever before, the masses are more ignorant and confused than ever.

“Stop talking about modernity! Stop talking about how our current circumstances are making it nearly impossible to practice Islām correctly! Stop living in the past! We need to move on!”
*People try to find solutions*
“YOU SICK DAʿWAH BROS 🤮”
And of course women are treated like the victims. As always.

*He was straight-forward about his intention, got to the point immediately, did not lie to her about what he wanted…*
Feminists and Simps: THERE ARE MEN LIKE THIS WHO WANT TO MANIPULATE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MUSLIM WOMEN! DISGUSTING!
Wait until you find out there were major scholars who had similar arrangements lol.
There are women in certain circumstances that do prefer such an arrangement. And I find it so funny that most of the people who are triggered by this incident are people whose whole personality on here is anti-tradition, anti-patriarchy, and anti-traditional gender roles. You people just look for anything you can use to justify some public outcry. Grow up.
If a woman was to agree to the arrangement, then what? She was manipulated? 🤣 Again, the same people throwing a tantrum here are the same people who get enraged at how “restricted” women are according to traditional fiqh. Are women capable of making their own decisions? Or are they easily manipulated and therefore cannot be given the freedom and autonomy to make their own choices? Which one is it?
“It is disrespectful to divorcees and single mothers!”
On what basis? Are we going to deny that the dynamic is going to be different? A divorced single mother with kids will not be able to have the same arrangement as a young virgin woman being married for the first time. Yes, naturally, the circumstances of a person will impact the way in which another person is willing to commit to them… Just like a woman will not want to marry a man who isn’t financially stable… You people are genuinely so dense.
Divorced women have desire too btw. And when they have kids to take care of, and don’t have the emotional availability or time to commit to a full marriage, such an arrangement can be beneficial for them.

The brain is capable of WONDERS if you learn to turn off your “feelings” and think rationally. You people should try it.

The number of people who privately message me and tell me they agree with me but can’t publicly say it because they’re afraid of the backlash… 🤣
People will respect you more when you speak your mind. You shouldn’t care about what stupid people think.

Only a matter of time before we have feminists and simps saying:
“Polygyny may be explicitly permissible, but that doesn’t make it moral or ethical.”

To those who are arguing:
“Just because something is permissible, doesn’t mean it should be done”.
I actually agree.
Just because it may be hypothetically permissible for a woman to get a degree and a career (under very unrealistic and impractical circumstances, of course), that doesn’t mean it should be done :)
But of course, many of the same people using this argument for one masʾala, will turn around and say “THERE IS NOTHING ḤARĀM ABOUT WOMEN GETTING EDUCATED”.
For those intelligent enough to keep up, just think about how that back and forth would go and what arguments those people will bring forward (because we’ve heard them all a million times at this point), and compare it to the arguments for the misyār masʾala.
(Hint for the dense: You’ll come to find that both those things are not ideal, there CAN be some nuance in both these issues DUE TO CURRENT UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES. The difference is, one of them just happens to go against the sensibilities of the CURRENT dominant ideology, while the other is perfectly in line with it.)
But you see, these people don’t actually care about what is in the best interest of Muslims, or what is ḥalāl and ḥarām, or what is really in line with the Maqāsid of the Sharīʿah. Their positions and opinions are driven by individualism. As much as these people may claim Islām, their fickle “morality” is grounded in social norms, foreign ideologies, and self-interest.

For those who want to attack me for saying the topic of misyār is NUANCED, attack these two as well, lol.

See? When you dogpile on people due to knee-jerk emotional reactions, without any in-depth analysis or nuance, you feed into the delusion of people like this.
