The handwriting of Imām al-Subkī, رحمه الله, from the introduction of his book “al-Sayf al-Maslūl”. He writes:
Praise be to Allāh, the Champion of His allies, the Avenger against his enemies, the Worshipped One in His earth and heavens, sanctified by His attributes and names, unmatched in His grandeur and majesty, the Subduer by His might and exaltation, the One and Only, with no beginning to His eternity and no end to His permanence. He is the Eternal Lord, who neither begets nor is begotten, and none shares His decree. The Living One, who has decreed that all shall perish, the All-Knowing, from whom not an atom's weight escapes in the earth or in the sky, whether in its manifest or hidden state. The All-Powerful, to whom all possibilities are submissive and obedient to His command and supplication. The All-Wise, who perfected what He created. Exalted is He, an awe-inspiring God, whose bounties leave minds in wonder.

The handwriting of Imām Ibn ʿAsākir, رحمه الله. He writes :
"I have read from the beginning of this book, by my own reading, in front of Shaykh Imām Abu al-ʿAbbās ʿUmar bin ʿAbdullāh bin Aḥmed al-Arghiyānī, the jurist, may Allāh be pleased with him, according to his narration from its author Abu al-Ḥasan Alī bin Aḥmed al-Wāḥidī, from the original manuscript of al-Wāḥidī , in his handwriting and heard from him by dictation from his own words, from Dhu al-Qaʿdah in the year 464 AH to Dhu al-Qaʿdah in the year 465 AH. I compared it with a copy that was collated with the original during sessions in the months of Ramaḍān, Shawwāl, Dhu al-Qaʿdah, and Dhu al-Hijjah in the year 529 AH, in the house of the Shaykh in Nishapur. Written by ʿAlī bin al-Ḥasan bin HibatAllāh bin ʿAbdullah al-Shafiʿī in his handwriting, and it has been verified and authenticated. Praise be to Allāh alone, and blessings and peace be upon Muḥammad the Prophet, his family, and his companions."

ورد عن سيدنا عمر رضي الله عنه أنه قال: "لا يحلُّ لامرئ مسلم يسمع من أخيه كلمة يظنُّ بها سوءًا، وهو يجد لها في شيء من الخير مخرجًا".
It was reported on the authority of Sayyiduna ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, may Allāh be pleased with him, that he said: It is not permissible for a Muslim who hears something about his brother to assume something bad of him if he can find a possible good interpretation.
