It’s just a chill space where I share my dev moments, ML/backend projects, and things I learn along the way. I started this to stay committed and grow with others. If you vibe with that, open your laptop and let’s figure out tech together πŸ’»πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

I built a 90-day Backend Mastery roadmap for developers who want to go deeper into backend engineering.

It covers 17 systems across Linux, networking, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, system design, distributed systems, Kafka, Kubernetes, cloud, CI/CD, observability, security, and more.

It includes curated resources, hands-on labs, checklists, and a day-by-day plan.

If you're serious about leveling up your backend skills, check it out:

Live portfolio. Real GitHub work. An honest, specific reflection on what she actually built this month.

That's exactly what this scholarship exists to reward.

Her ALX Data Science subscription starts this week πŸ”₯

To everyone who applied, thank you. I read every single one, and I emailed each of you personally with real feedback.

Next round opens next month.

so honestly speaking if you crack one idea that can work locally i bet you will find some other that will work for the abroad.

we usually got attract by US startup environment and we try harder to crack or to find one solution to a problem that were never existed. and we got attracted by the number people are posting.

So i really recommend you to start looking your own environment and find something that will work for the local market, i know it is hard that why it is not for everybody then you will meet a lot of people that will let you see more problem to be solved.

in my exprience i have seen many problem that needs to be solved in ethiopia for ethiopian market, but there are few people solving them. ofc if i tell you the problem to solve it will kill your creativity and the problem i see even might not aligned with your interest but if you really tackle the hardship you see the local market you definetely will know what to solve for the international market as well.

Also i really want you to try to involve and engage in networking event, it is something we can use to scale up our game.

Sometimes, cool projects just don't get enough attention. πŸ‘€

GhostMark is one of those projects that deserves to be discovered.

Built with Rust + WebAssembly, it’s an offline, privacy-focused tool for working with AI-related watermarks and metadata.
πŸ¦€ Rust + WASM
⚑️ Local/offline processing
πŸ“„ PDF, DOCX, EPUB, ODT & images
πŸ“‚ Batch processing
🧩 Chrome extension
πŸ’» Rust CLI
πŸ€– Local Ollama integration
πŸ”Œ Developer WASM API
The latest v0.13 release adds:
πŸ’₯ SynthID Destroyer dynamic token perturbation
🧠 Ollama run 10B+ parameter models locally
πŸ“‚ Batch Cleaning process entire folders
βœ… Homoglyph injection designed to affect AI-detection results

It’s more than a GitHub script there’s a web app, CLI, extension, API, and local processing engine behind it.

Despite all that, it still seems surprisingly underrated. πŸ‘€

Episode 4 is finally here! πŸŽ™οΈπŸ”₯

I sat down with Birhan Nega, a software developer with over 10 years of experience, entrepreneur, company founder and content creator.

We talked about his journey in tech, building a company in Ethiopia, working with international teams, discipline, remote opportunities, AI and what genuinely separates an experienced engineer from someone who only knows how to write code.

Don’t let low engagement stop you from posting on X.

Likes don’t always reflect the value of what you’re sharing.

Stay consistent, keep showing up, and keep building. The audience and momentum can come later. πŸ–€

Many people might disagree, but your university degree doesn’t matter as much as you think in tech.

I’ve never been asked if I’m a CS or SE graduate, or asked for a certificate. Most people care about your projects, your skills, and what you can actually build.

If you’re a university student, teach yourself beyond the curriculum. Learn modern tools, build real projects, and try to master something before you graduate.

If you already graduated, lock in for a few months. You already understand the fundamentals, so learning the current tools and catching up can happen much faster than you think.

Your degree can open a door. Your skills are what keep it open.

Introducing Kulch.site

Do you get tired of pasting your CV into ChatGPT or Claude every time you apply for a new job β€” tweaking the same lines over and over?

I did.

So I built Kulch β€” a free CV workspace built around one simple idea:

> You don't need one "perfect" CV. You need a truthful CV tailored to each opportunity.

With Kulch, you can:

β€’ Create a CV from scratch or import an existing PDF
β€’ Duplicate your base CV and tailor separate versions for different roles
β€’ Edit with a live A4 preview across 4 resume templates
β€’ Compare your experience with a job description and get grounded AI guidance
β€’ Save version checkpoints and export clean, selectable PDFs
β€’ Work from desktop or mobile without losing the focused editing experience

Kulch keeps suggestions review-first. It never silently changes your resume or invents experience for you.

Try it out: https://www.kulch.site
