This guy built TKNGATE to fix that it's a free, self-hosted "traffic cop" that sits between your app and AI providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Mistral, or even your own local models.
What it actually does:
β Drop-in replacement for the OpenAI SDK no code rewrite needed
β Auto-switches providers if one is down or rate-limited
β Set hard $ spending caps per user/app no more bill shock
β Auto-redacts sensitive data (credit cards, etc.) before it leaves your machine
β Caches repeat prompts to cut cost + latency
β (Experimental) Share unused API quota with other users P2P without ever exposing your actual keys
