1️⃣ آشنایی با آیلتس:

⭐️ آیلتس چیه؟

آیلتس مخفف سیستم بین المللی آزمون زبان انگلیسیه. در واقع یه سیستم بین المللی معتبر برای سنجش سطح زبان انگلیسی شماست. شما هر کشور انگلیسی زبان و حتی خیلی از کشورای غیرانگلیسی زبان هم که بخواید برید، باید یه مدرکی در رابطه با سطح زبانتون ارائه بدید. برای گرفتن این مدرک، باید توی یک آزمون زبان معتبر شرکت کنید. آزمون های مختلفی وجود دارند: مثل آیلتس، تافل، PTE و Duolingo. از بین این آزمون ها، آیلتس و تافل معتبرترند و خیلی از جاها اونا رو قبول دارند. از بین آیلتس و تافل هم، آیلتس بین همه محبوب تره و بیشتر داوطلبا، آیلتس رو انتخاب می‌کنند. واقعیتش دلیل این محبوبیت رو نمیدونم. بعضیا میگن تافل سختتره ولی خودم با فرمت آزمون تافل آشنایی ندارم که این حرف رو تایید کنم ولی همین محبوبیت باعث میشه آیلتس گزینه بهتری باشه. چرا؟ چون منابع بیشتری در دسترس خواهد بود و میتونید از تجربیات بقیه استفاده کنید.

✅ بنابراین، اگه هنوز برنامه ی دقیقی ندارید و فقط میخواید زبانتون رو تقویت کنید، انتخاب عاقلانه برای آزمون زبان، آیلتسه. اگرم برنامتون مشخصه، حتما حتما ریکوایرمنت دانشگاه یا شغلی که میخواید براش اپلای کنید، چک کنید که مطمئن باشید آزمون زبانی رو که انتخاب کردید، قبول دارند.


1️⃣ Introduction to IELTS:

⭐️ What is IELTS?

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is an internationally recognized system for assessing your level of English language proficiency. If you want to study or work in an English-speaking country, or even in many non-English-speaking countries, you will need to provide a certificate of your language proficiency level. To obtain this certificate, you must take a reputable language test. There are various language tests available, such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and Duolingo. Among these tests, IELTS and TOEFL are the most reputable and widely accepted. Between IELTS and TOEFL, IELTS is more popular among test-takers. I am not sure why this is the case, but some people say that TOEFL is more difficult. However, I am not familiar with the TOEFL test format to confirm this statement. Nevertheless, the popularity of IELTS makes it a better option because there are more resources available, and you can benefit from the experiences of others.

✅ Therefore, if you do not have a specific plan yet and just want to improve your language skills, choosing IELTS as your language test is a wise choice. If you have a specific plan, make sure to check the language test requirements for the university or job you are applying to, to ensure that the test you have chosen is accepted.

⭐️ فرمت آزمون آیلتس:

حالا هر آزمونی رو که انتخاب کردید، باید با فرمت اون آزمون آشنا بشین تا بدونید که چطور خودتون رو برای اون آزمون آماده کنید.

❓آیلتس جنرال یا آکادمیک؟

ما دو نوع آیلتس داریم. آکادمیک و جنرال. اگه قراره برای دانشگاه اپلای کنید، باید تو آزمون آیلتس آکادمیک شرکت کنید ولی اگه قراره برای کار اپلای کنید، باید تو آزمون آیلتس جنرال شرکت کنید.

❓تفاوتشون چیه؟ در بخش ریدینگ و رایتینگ.

⬅️ ریدینگ آزمون آکادمیک تخصصی تر و تا حدی طولانی تر هست؛ به خصوص پسج سوم ریدینگ. موضوعات ریدینگ ها هم دانشگاهی تره در حالی که تو آیلتس جنرال موضوعات ریدینگا بیشتر درباره زندگی روزمره است.
⬅️ رایتینگ هم در هر دو نوع، دوتا سوال داره که سوال دوم با هم مشابه هست ولی سوال اول در ایلتس جنرال نوشتن یک نامه است ولی در آیلتس آکادمیک ریپورت داده هست.


⭐️ IELTS Exam Format:

Now that you have chosen your exam, you need to familiarize yourself with its format so that you know how to prepare for it.

❓IELTS General or Academic test?

We have two types of IELTS exams: Academic and General. If you are applying for a university, you must take the IELTS Academic exam, but if you are applying for a job, you must take the IELTS General exam.

❓What is the difference? Reading and Writing sections.

➡️ The Reading section of the IELTS Academic exam is more specialized and somewhat longer, especially in the third passage. The topics of the readings are also more academic, while in the IELTS General exam, the topics are more about everyday life.

➡️ Both types of exams have two Writing tasks, with the second task being similar in both. However, the first task in IELTS General is writing a letter, while in IELTS Academic, it is reporting data.

⭐️ فرمت آزمون آیلتس:

رایتینگ:

⭕️ تسک ۱: ۲۰ دقیقه
⭕️ تسک ۲: ۴۰ دقیقه

اسپیکینگ:

⭕️ پارت ۱: اگزمینر ازتون سوالای کلی در مورد خودتون و یسری موضوعای آشنا مثل خونه، خونواده، کار، تحصیلات و علایقتون میپرسه. حدودا ۴ تا ۵ دقیقه طول میکشه.
⭕️ پارت ۲: اگزمینر بهتون یه کارت میده که روی اون یه سوال رو نوشته. از شما میخواد که در مورد اون سوال ۲ دقیقه صحبت کنید. قبل از صحبت کردن، ۱ دقیقه فرصت دارید تا آماده بشید. بهتون یه کاغذ و مداد هم برای یادداشت میدن. بعد اگزمینر برای اتمام این بخش از آزمون یک یا دو سوال در مورد همون موضوع میپرسه.
⭕️ پارت ۳: ازتون سؤالات بیشتری در ارتباط با موضوع پارت ۲ پرسیده میشه. سوالای این بخش انتزاعی ترن و بیشتر از پارت ۱ باید صحبت کنید. اگزمینرم احتمالا بین صحبتاتون سوال میپرسه. مثلا میگه چرا؟ چطور؟ یه دلیل دیگه بگو و… حدودا ۴ الی ۵ دقیقه طول میکشه.

🌟 IELTS Exam Format:

❓ What sections does IELTS exam include?

The IELTS exam consists of four sections:

Listening:

⭕️ 40 questions
⭕️ 4 sections: each with 10 questions
⭕️ Approximately 40 minutes

Reading:

⭕️ 40 questions
⭕️ 3 sections
⭕️ 60 minutes

Writing:

⭕️ Task 1: 20 minutes
⭕️ Task 2: 40 minutes

Speaking:

⭕️ Part 1: The examiner asks you general questions about yourself and familiar topics such as home, family, work, study, and interests. It takes about 4-5 minutes.
⭕️ Part 2: The examiner gives you a cue card with a question written on it. They ask you to speak for 2 minutes about that question. Before speaking, you have 1 minute to think. They also give you a paper and a pen to take notes. Then the examiner asks one or two questions about the same topic to finish this section of the exam.
⭕️ Part 3: You are asked more questions related to the topic in Part 2. The questions in this section are more abstract and you need to speak more than in Part 1. The examiner may ask questions between your speech, such as why? How? Give another reason, and so on. It takes about 4-5 minutes.

⭐️ نمره دهی آزمون آیلتس:

هر کدوم از بخش های آیلتس از ۹ نمره، یک نمره ای بهشون تعلق میگیره. بعد همشون جمع میشن و تقسیم بر ۴ میشن و نمره به دست اومده میشه نمره کل شما.
اگه نمرتون خورده داشته باشه و خورده اون بیشتر از ۰.۲۵ یا ۰.۷۵ باشه رو به بالا گرد میشه. اگه کمتر باشه، رو به پایین گرد میشه ولی نکته ای که وجود داره اینه که اگه خود ۰.۲۵ یا ۰.۷۵ باشه، رو به بالا گرد میشه.

حالا بریم ببینیم نمره هر مهارت آیلتس چطور داده میشه.

لیسنینگ و ریدینگ: بنابر تعداد پاسخ صحیح شما نمره دهی میشن که پایین عکس نمرات متناسب با هر تعداد پاسخ صحیح رو براتون میزارم.

✅ آیلتس نمره منفی نداره. پس همه سوالات رو جواب بدید.


⭐️ IELTS Scoring:

Each section of the IELTS exam is scored out of 9, with one point awarded for each section. These scores are then added together and divided by 4 to give you your overall score. If your score falls between two bands, it is rounded up if it is 0.25 or above, and rounded down if it is below 0.25.

Now let's see how each IELTS skill is scored:

Listening and Reading: Your score is based on the number of correct answers you provide. The chart below shows the scores corresponding to each number of correct answers.

✅ IELTS does not have negative points, so make sure to answer all questions.

Reading and Listening Score

نمره دهی نوع آکادمیک و جنرال در بخش ریدینگ با هم متفاوت است.

The scoring for the reading section of the Academic IELTS is different from that of the General Training IELTS.

⭐️ نمره دهی آزمون آیلتس:

اسپیکینگ: این مهارت به ۴ قسمت تقسیم میشه:

⭕️ Grammatical range and accuracy
⭕️ lexical resource
⭕️ pronunciation
⭕️ Fluency

رایتینگ: این مهارت هم به ۴ قسمت تقسیم میشه:

⭕️ Task achievement
⭕️ Coherence and cohesion
⭕️ Lexical resource
⭕️ Grammatical range and accuracy

به هر کدوم از این بخش ها، یک نمره صحیح تعلق میگیره. یعنی مثلا ۶ یا ۷. ۶.۵ نداریم.
مشابه نمره کل نمره این ۴ بخش با هم جمع میشه و تقسیم بر ۴ میشه تا نمره رایتینگ به دست میاد.
مشابه نمره کل اگر خورده بیشتر از ۰.۲۵ یا ۰.۷۵ باشه، نمره رو به بالا گرد میشه و اگه کمتر باشه، رو به پایین.
تفاوتی که در محاسبه با نمره کل داره اینه که اگه خود ۰.۲۵ یا ۰.۷۵ باشه، نمره رو به پایین گرد میشه.


⭐️ IELTS Scoring:

Speaking: This skill is divided into 4 parts:

⭕️ Grammatical range and accuracy
⭕️ Lexical resource
⭕️ Pronunciation
⭕️ Fluency

Each of these parts is given a score, for example 6 or 7. The given score is a whole number. There are no scores such as 6.5.

Writing: This skill is also divided into 4 parts:

⭕️ Task achievement
⭕️ Coherence and cohesion
⭕️ Lexical resource
⭕️ Grammatical range and accuracy

Similar to the overall score, the scores of these 4 parts are added together and divided by 4 to obtain the writing and speaking score.

Similar to the overall score, if the score is above 0.25 or 0.75, the score is rounded up, and if it is below, it is rounded down. The difference in calculation compared to the overall score is that if the score is exactly 0.25 or 0.75, the score is rounded down.

‼️ بنابراین نمره اورال رو به بالا گرد میشه ولی نمره ایچ اسکیل رو به پایین. اگه نمره کل شما ۶.۷۵ بشه، نمره شما ۷ ولی اگه نمره رایتینگتون ۶.۷۵ بشه، نمره شما ۶.۵ میشه.

‼️ Therefore, the overall score goes up but the score of each skills goes down. If your overall score is 6.75, your score will be 7, but if your writing score is 6.75, your score will be 6.5.

برای بخش اسپیکینگ و رایتینگ دوتا فایل هستند که تمام این ۴ بخش رو به تفصیل توضیح داده. به این دوتا فایل میگنband descriptor. خوندن این دوتا فایل برای همه واجبههه. چرا؟ چون باید بدونید که برای گرفتن هر نمره ای چه چیزایی ازتون انتظار دارن که رعایت کنید.
این دوتا فایل رو براتون آپلود میکنم. در آینده مواردش رو براتون توضیح میدم.

There are two files for the speaking and writing sections that explain all the mentioned four parts in detail. These two files are called band descriptors. Everyone needs to read these two files because you need to know what is expected of you to achieve your desired score. I will upload these two files for you, and in the future, I will explain their contents to you.

این تصویر نشون میده هر کدوم از نمره ها به چه معنا هستن. در واقع نشون میده کسی که هر کدوم از این نمره ها رو میگیره چه توانایی هایی رو داره.
This image shows what each of the scores means. It basically indicates the abilities of someone who achieves each of these scores.

یه نوع دیگه از سیستم نمره دهی هست به اسم CEFR. معمولا اگه آزمون های زبان غیرانگلیسی شرکت کرده باشید، بر این اساس سطح زبان شما رو طبقه بندی میکنن. تصویر بالا معادل نمرات آیلتس شما رو تو سیستم CEFR نشون میده.

There is another type of grading system called CEFR, which is commonly used to classify language proficiency levels in non-English language exams. The image above shows the equivalent CEFR levels for your IELTS scores.

🤷‍♀️ حالا چی مهمه؟

‼️ حتما سعی کنید قبل از شروع مطالعه بدونید که به چه نمره ای نیاز دارید. آیلتس یه وسیله است. هدف نیست. سعی کنید کمال گرایی رو کنار بزارید ‌‌و فقط برای نمره ای که نیاز دارید، تلاش کنید.
‼️ حتما علاوه بر نمره کل، نمره هر مهارت رو هم چک کنید. بعضی جاها فرضا میگن نمره کل ۶.۵ نیاز دارند به شرطی که هیچ مهارتی هم کمتر از ۶ نباشه. یعنی نمره بالا تو یه مهارت نمیتونه نمره پایین یه مهارت دیگتون رو جبران کنه.

🤷‍♀️ What is important for you to notice?

‼️ Make sure you know what score you need before starting your studies. IELTS is a means to an end, not the end goal. Try to let go of perfectionism and focus only on achieving the score you need.
‼️ In addition to the overall score, make sure to check the score for each skill. In some cases, for example, they may require an overall score of 6.5 as long as none of the skills are below 6. This means that a high score in one skill cannot compensate for a low score in another skill.

چرا به کمال گرایی اشاره کردم؟

همونطور که اینجا مشاهده میکنید. برای نمره ۶ نوشته competent user. یعنی کسی که توانایی استفاده از زبان رو به صورت موثر داره. معمولا نمره ای که نیازه از ۶ شروع میشه تا ۷.۵ برای دانشگاه های رنک بالا.

حالا تو عکس پایین میخوام تعداد افرادی که هر کدوم از نمرات آیلتس رو میگیرن بهتون نشون بدن. این آمار، از طریق دیتاهایی که موقع ثبت نام آیلتس وارد میکنید، به صورت رسمی جمع آوری شده.

همونطور که میبینید بیشتر داوطلبین (۲۶ درصد در نوع جنرال و ۱۶ درصد در نوع آکادمیک) نمره ۶.۵ رو میگیرن. و فقط ۱۸ درصد از داوطلبین در نوع آکادمیک و ۱۷ درصد از داوطلبین در نوع جنرال نمره بالای ۷ رو میگیرن. بنابراین شما همین که مینیمم نمره جایی که مدنظرتون هست بگیرید، کفایت میکنه و احتمالا رقیب هاتون هم در رنج مینیمم نمره درخواست شده هستند.

نکته دیگه اینه که همونطور که میبینید آیلتس برای اکثر افراد سخته و شما تو این راه تنها نیستید.

نکته بعدی هم اینه که همونطور که میبینید اکثر افراد تا نمره ی ۶.۵ هستند. من زیاد میبینم که تو گروه ها بچه ها از هم سوال میپرسن. نمیگم کار اشتباهیه. اصلا همون اول اشاره کردم که برتری آیلتس نسبت به تافل همینه و میتونید از تجربیات بقیه استفاده کنید ولی حواستون باشه که موارد تخصصی رو حتما حتما از افراد مطمئن بپرسید. افرادی که نمرات بالاتری کسب کردن تا فیدبک اشتباهی رو دریافت نکنید.


Why did I mention perfectionism?

As you can see here, for a score of 6, it is written "competent user". This means someone who has the ability to use the language effectively. Usually, the score required for universities starts from 6 to 7.5 (for universities with high rankings)

Now in the image below, I want to show you the number of people who get each of the IELTS scores. This data is officially collected through the information you enter when you book IELTS.

As you can see, most candidates (26% in the general module and 16% in the academic module) get a score of 6.5. And only 18% of candidates in the academic type and 17% of candidates in the general type get a score above 7. So just getting the minimum score you need is enough, and your competitors probably have the minimum required score.

Another point is that, as you can see, IELTS is difficult for most people, and you are not alone in this journey.

Another point is that, as you can see, most people are up to a score of 6.5. I often see that in groups, people ask each other questions. I'm not saying it's wrong. I already mentioned that the advantage of IELTS over TOEFL is this, and you can use the experiences of others, but be careful to always ask specialized questions from reliable people. People who have achieved higher scores so that you don't receive incorrect feedback.

دوستان بعد از اینکه آزمون آیلتس رو دادید، هم سنتری که در اون امتحان دادید، نمرتون رو براتون پیامک میکنه، هم داخل سایتشون میزنن، هم میتونید خودتون از طریق idp، اطلاعاتتون رو وارد کنید و نمرتون رو دریافت کنید. گفته میشه که نمرات از طریق سایت idp سریعتر گذاشته میشه ولی مطمئن نیستم. من خودم با پیامک از نمرم مطلع شدم.

After taking the IELTS exam, your test center will send you a text message with your score. You can also check your score on their website or through IDP by entering your information. It is said that scores are posted faster through the IDP website, but I am not sure. Personally, I found out about my score through a text message.

Computer-delivered test results: 3 to 5 days after the exam (mine came in 3 days).

Paper-based test results: 13 days after the exam.

نمره ای که براتون میاد، مشابه تصویر بالاس. یعنی نمره هر اسکیل و نمره کل. نمره اسپیکینگ و رایتینگ رو براتون به صورت مجزا نمیزنن. یعنی متوجه نمیشید برای مثال تو بخش اسپیکینگ، نمره گرامر و تلفظتون به صورت مجزا چند شده. برای اینکار میتونید بعد از دریافت نتیجه، به idp ایمیل بزنید و ازشون درخواست کنید که ریزنمراتتون هم براتون ارسال کنند که بین ۱ الی دو ماه طول میکشه.
براتون نمونه ایمیل رو تو پست بعدی میزارم. همون ایمیل رو میتونید با مشخصات خودتون براشون بفرستید.


The score you receive will be similar to the image above. (overall score and the score for each section). The scores for speaking and writing will not be separated, so you will not be able to see your grammar and pronunciation scores separately, for example. If you would like to see your detailed scores, you can email the IDP after receiving your results and request that they send you the breakdown, which can take between one to two months.

I will provide a sample email in the next message that you can use to send to them with your own information.
