توربین‌های زیر آب در فرانسه که برق پاک تامین می‌کند

یکی از اولین پروژه های آزمایشی انرژی جزر و مدی در مقیاس تجاری فرانسه موسوم به NH1، قرار است انرژی پاک را برای هزاران نفر از مردم محلی تأمین کند.

پروژه NH1، متعلق به شرکت نورماندی هیدروکینتیک یا همان Normandie Hydroliennes، شامل چهار توربین خواهد بود که جریان جزر و مدی Raz Blanchard ( قوی‌ترین جریان جزر و مدی در اروپا) را به یک منبع انرژی تجدیدپذیر تبدیل می‌کنند.

این پروژه یکی از ده‌ها طرح کاهش آلاینده‌های کربنی است که در دور جدید کمک‌های مالی صندوق نوآوری اتحادیه اروپا، در مجموع ۴.۸ میلیارد یورو دریافت کرده‌اند. این صندوق از محل درآمدهای سیستم تجارت انتشار گازهای گلخانه‌ای (ETS) تأمین می‌شود؛ سیستمی که صنایع آلاینده را ملزم می‌کند برای انتشار گازهای گلخانه‌ای خود هزینه پرداخت کنند.

CFD simulation of a cooling tower using wind-breaker

🔻One of the most important issues of #cooling towers is the #blocking of outlet air at the top of the tower and decreasing the performance in high-speed upstream wind flows.

🔻In this project, I used an aerodynamic concept that shows the #separation of flow around the cylinder starts between 120 to 130 degrees.

🔻Based on this idea and using  #CFD simulation, I designed a wind_breaker wall with some intake for this cooling tower which assumed the intakes are open after 120 degree. This helps the inside air to escape from the back side and the performance of the cooling tower increases!
