Flock, an private AI mass surveillance company, has installed nearly 100,000 AI powered cameras across the United States that log your
- license plate
- car model
- car color
- notable features (dents, bumper stickers, etc)
- clothing
- screen activity
- how long you've been in a given area
- conversations
The company logs all this information in a cloud database that is accessible - and is often abused - by police and hackers alike.
DeFlock is a public citizens website created to map Flock camera installations across the country and spread awareness to Flock's encroachment on privacy. It has an interactable map that shows the timeline along which these cameras were installed in the past, 'threat level' analysis by county, and potential routes for avoiding cameras.
Flock CEO, Garrett Langley, who lives somewhere in Atlanta Georgia (his address is apparently private information!), has called DeFlock a 'terroristic organization whose primary motivation is chaos'.
Garrett Langley is worth over 7 billion dollars and logs 20 billion car details every month.
