Some things I do to check whether a token is a rug or not:

-> website? no website = no effort = no trust. also if it looks just bad.

-> is the telegram muted? during launch or presale that is okay, but if it is only muted or muted for no reason, telegram could be botted or try to avoid people informing each other.

-> a small team: one developer e.g. he is there for money only. especially if anonymous as well.

-> rugscreen or pogged for some obvious signs (can never be 100% accurate but you can spot honeypots for example), if the contract is revealed at launch that is a little suspicious.

-> never buy if the contract isn’t verified.

-> doxxed? awesome! but check if fake images, if there’s actually a video of them talking about the project, and if not: do the names on the site or doxxed paper link to a real social profile?

-> check the tokenomics. how many tokens do they keep for themselves and what for? how much % goes into liquidity? can they mint tokens? let’s be honest, do shitcoins really need 10% developer tokens, 10% team tokens and 10% marketing? its a shitcoin, there’s no development!

-> check the transfer function in the verified contract. any blacklisting or weird if statements going on?

-> at fair launch, unless everything looks safe, check the LP lock and ownership renouncement.

-> check if the contract comes from an admin in the official token chat, always double check!
