This is how most of my mornings looks like. I wake with the sun, open the curtains, make my coffee, and let a warm croissant keep me company before the day starts demanding pieces of me. It’s the one routine I rarely compromise, a quiet reminder that ambition doesn’t have to rush every moment. The goals, the deadlines, and the endless climb can wait a little longer. For now, I’m choosing stillness before I choose the world. ☕🥐

#MorningWithMathilde Come take a peek at my morning routine! Just like many mornings before, I started today by opening the oven and baking bread for breakfast, and to keep me company for the next few hours. This loaf was the result of a whole night spent negotiating with a lazy loaf, a.k.a. my sourdough. With my favorite playlist on repeat and a cup of coffee within reach, the morning passed by quietly while the bread did its work.

Tea in the morning is truly the best, especially when it’s warm—and adding a slice of lemon makes for the perfect combination. Yes, for this edition of #MorningWithMathilde, I want to share what I usually do in the morning, and here’s what I do. I brew a cup of hot tea; to me, tea is the ultimate comfort drink in the morning. I also choose a mug with a unique design so that when I take a sip, my mood instantly lifts.
