🔹The Formation of Embryo Sac in an Ovule 🥚🌺
➤ Ovule is formed from an ovarian tissue. Each ovule contains one megaspore mother cell (2n). [2m]
➤ The embryo sac mother cell (2n) undergoes meiosis to form 4 haploid megaspore cell (n). [2m]
➤ Three megaspores degenerated and only one megaspore will continue to develop. [1m]
➤ The remaining megaspore undergoes mitosis three time to form a with eight nuclei. [2m]
➤ Three cell move to one end near to micropyle, forming two synergid cell and one egg cell. [1m]
3 cell = 2 synergid + 1 egg
➤ Three more cells move to another end to form three antipodal cell. [1m]
➤ One cell with two nuclei located at the center to form polar nuclei. [1m]
➤ The structure formed is known as embryo sac which is protected by integument. [1m]
