5 Suspects Arrested - Drug Bust Operation
Sentinel Security, in collaboration with the Brackendowns Community Policing Forum, successfully executed a targeted operation in an informal settlement, resulting in the arrest of 5 suspects for drug-related offenses, animal rescue and confiscating of dangerous weapons.
This special operation uncovered significant quantities of illegal substances, including Crystal Meth, Mandrax and Marijuana.
In addition to the arrests, 5 dogs were rescued during the operation and have been safely impounded by the Alberton SPCA for appropriate care and rehoming.
This operation is a testament to Sentinel Security’s expertise in executing special operations and our commitment to creating safer communities through dedication with local law enforcement and community partners.

Sentinel Security Control Room received a call that a suspect had stolen a water compressor hose from one of our client's sites.
Multiple units were promptly dispatched, successfully apprehending the suspect down the road.

In response to a recent surge in outdoor beam theft, Sentinel Security proactively implemented a strategic operational plan to safeguard our clients and their property.

ARMED ROBBERY FOILED
ALRODE, ALBERTON
Earlier today, Sentinel Security Control Room received a panic signal from a local business park in the Alrode area. Sentinel Security immediately dispatched several Armed Response units and Tactical Intervention Teams to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was established that an armed robbery was in progress at a neighbouring premises. Our teams together with role players swiftly conducted a coordinated search of the area, which led directly to the apprehension of two suspects. Two inter-linker trucks belonging to suspects were also recovered on scene loaded with alcohol from the liquor distribution point.
Other suspects attempted to evade arrest by fleeing the scene. Some of these individuals were later arrested by other role players, including law enforcement and security companies.
The scene was secured and an investigation is currently underway, with SAPS and other services now handling the case.
This operation highlights the importance of joint effort in fighting crime and recovering stolen property. A big thank you to all involved for their dedication and swift action.

PROTEST ACTION & LOOTING
Protest action occurred last night along a main transport route bordering a nearby informal settlement. Protestors obstructed the road with burning tyres and rocks, resulting in several trucks being trapped. Another truck jack-knifed whilst trying to evade. Protestors were stoning vehicles and began looting the trucks that were stuck on the road.
Sentinel Security Control Room received information from our provincial crime alert platforms and immediately deployed Sentinel Security Saturation, Tactical and Reaction units to the scene. Thanks to the rapid and decisive response, significant losses were averted.
A truck transporting liquor sustained only minimal stock loss, a second truck carrying groceries emerged with no stock loss, and a third truck loaded with vehicle windscreens and glass suffered damage and theft.
Together with Sentinel Security Teams SAPS, secured the scene as protestors and looters evaded the scene. The road was subsequently cleared of rocks and debris and was reopened. Roadside recovery teams were also mobilised to assist a truck that got stuck in the veld alongside the road.
Well done to Sentinel Security personnel, SAPS members, Vehicle Tracking Partners, private security and roadside recovery services for their outstanding collaboration under pressure. Once again, Sentinel Security demonstrated its commitment to protecting lives, assets, and infrastructure when it matters most.

Sentinel Security Armed Response units were dispatched to site to gather information.
A manhunt was subsequently initiated once a description of the suspects was obtained via CCTV footage.
Sentinel Security Armed Response units saturated the vicinity and searched for the suspects. Shortly afterwards, the suspects were located by one of our Armed Response Officers.
The suspects were apprehended and detained on scene. Stolen goods were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

A SAPS Member was hot on the tail of a reported / suspects vehicle.
SAPS officer requested backup as the officer needs to pull this vehicle over for inquest.
Sentinel Security Reaction and Tactical Management teams were immediately dispatched to the SAPS officer pin drop. Within a few seconds, units arrived and immediately, the suspects vehicle was pulled over.
The vehicle was searched and confirmed that these suspects, male and female, were using counterfeit cash to buy goods and swop counterfeit for real cash on the streets with community members.
The vehicle was profiled under Sentinel Security vehicle sought network.
SAPS requested the immediate transfer of the vehicle and suspects to local SAPS station for case opening procedure.
