Sentinel Security Special Operations success report regarding nationwide shutdown on 20th of March 2023.
Sentinel Security management approved a strategic plan for the shutdown. Operations ran smoothly throughout the day in our areas of operation, besides minor incidents of road closures which were swiftly handled. Numerous protestors were subsequently arrested.

Sentinel Security CCTV division spotted human movement on our client’s site. A description of the suspect was relayed to our ground teams who swiftly responded and apprehended the suspect. Sentinel teams recovered goods which were stolen from the yard along with other break-in implements. Goods have subsequently been returned to our client.

Sentinel Security Response officer whilst on patrol spotted a suspect carrying a heavy bag. The suspect was stopped by Response officer, suspect was questioned and detained. The stolen goods were identified and recovered. Well done Sentinel Response!

ATM Bombing: Sentinel Security Response officer on routine patrol heard an explosion very close to his position. As soon as Sentinel Security Response member turned into the street, suspects began shooting at him and immediately fled in several getaway vehicles. Sentinel Tactical, SAPS and other role players attended the scene. No injuries were sustained to Sentinel teams. Well done Sentinel Response personnel for deterring the suspects.

Sentinel Security CCTV Division prevents break-in. Sentview CCTV operator spotted two suspects near the boundary palisade fence of a business premises. One suspect was seen jumping into the site whilst the other suspect remained outside as a lookout. The suspect inside the yard immediately cut power to the site from the electrical DB box. This is a common crime trend as the first phase of a break-in where criminals attempt to deplete back-up battery supplies to alarm, fence and camera systems. This attempted break-in was brought to an abrupt halt by alert camera operators. Well done Sentinel teams.

Suspect apprehended by Sentinel Security Tactical team. Sentinel Security client armed alarm system and moments later multiple alarm signals were received. Upon investigation it was established that a suspect who had broken in earlier that day was trapped inside and moving around trying to get out of the factory. Sentinel Security Tactical personnel searched the premises with client and detained the suspect who was found hiding in the factory. Sentinel Tactical 0119003137.

Sentinel Security Response teams stopped three suspects who were seen pulling a heavy dustbin. Several bags of concrete mix were found inside the dustbin. It was established that the stock had been stolen from a nearby construction site. Stock was returned to rightful owner. Well done Sentinel Response teams for vigilant patrolling.

Wanted suspect arrested for stealing electrical fuses. Sentinel Security Guarding Division spotted a suspect tampering with the electrical fuse box outside a Sentinel client's premises. Back-up was requested and Sentinel Security Response teams swiftly apprehended and detained the suspect. Well done Sentinel Teams!

Urgent backup was sought by SAPS, Metro and CPF members who were conducting a stop-and-search roadblock when a shootout ensued between the aforementioned authorities and several suspects in a vehicle. One or more suspects were arrested and an AK-47 was recovered. A Metro Police officer was shot during the shoot out, he has subsequently been discharged from hospital. On behalf of Sentinel Teams and community members, we thank our police services and CPF members for being on the front line of fighting crime. Sentinel Security wishes a quick recovery to injured members.

Response officer immediately requested backup suspecting that the tyres had been stolen from a premises nearby. Upon further investigation it was established that the fence to the closest premises had been damaged and the tyres were indeed from that site. Sentinel Security Tactical teams were dispatched and cleared the site. Suspects were unsuccessful as all tyres were recovered.

The community began blocking off parts of the road with multiple large stones, burning tyres and stoning passing vehicles. Sentinel Tactical and Sentinel First Responders combined with Metro, SAPS Public Order Policing strategically de-escalated the crowd and cleared the road for the safety of road users. Well done to all role players involved.

Sentinel Security Control Room received a call requesting immediate medical assistance at our client’s premises. Direct contact of Ambulance services were dispatched and upon arrival paramedics attended to our client. Quick response and emergency assistance were on hand when needed most. We're glad that our client has recovered well since then.

Wanted suspect caught and arrested! A Sentinel Security client provided CCTV footage of a suspect that had stripped copper pipes and electrical cables from their yard. The description of the suspect was distributed amongst our Response and Tactical teams and yielded success together with a community member. The suspect was spotted and chased down. Sentinel teams found a dangerous weapon and breaking implements on his person. The suspect was detained and subsequently arrested by SAPS. Well done guys for going that extra mile.

Guards on site had spotted a suspect jumping over the wall and pressed their panic button. Upon our arrival the suspect was detained with the assistance of construction workers on site. A Sentinel Security Response unit was waved down by a community member. The community member had just been robbed of their bicycle by a suspect wearing a balaclava. A description of the suspect and the stolen bicycle was circulated amongst our networks which resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect shortly thereafter. Job well done Sentinel Teams!
