Sentinel is gearing up for the year-end operations to provide the best security services during such period. Sentinel has a great track record in keeping crime statistics to low expectable standards. Sentinel Risk Management concern is LOAD SHEDDING. Load Shedding is currently placing strain on Control Room, Technical and Response operations. Sentinel Technical urge all clients to take additional precautions in placing additional backup batteries, UPS, generators, solar etc. in aiding to keep alarm systems in a good healthy state. Sentinel Accounts Department would like to remind all clients of the following. Yearly License / Admin / Radio Frequency fee shall be added to your December security.
This is the normal security twelve-month License / Admin / Radio Frequency applicable every year.
January 2023 security fee shall revert back to normal.

ATM bombing. Sentinel Security Response teams heard an explosion in the nearby vicinity and began searching for where the explosion occured. ATM Bombings is on the increase therefore Response Teams patrolled all known ATM spots. Sentinel Security Tactical teams were dispatched to assist and provide back-up. It was discovered that an ATM was bombed at a nearby petrol station. Its alleged no money was obtained as only the outermost structure of the ATM was compromised. Numerous spent cartridges were found on scene and and its alleged one person was injured due to the bombing and or shooting onsite.

A pedestrian was robbed of their belongings by 2 suspects bearing weapons. The victim ran into the road and stopped a Sentinel Security vehicle requesting urgent assistance. The description of both suspects was obtained and distributed through Sentinel communication channels. After a short search, Sentinel Response teams gained visuals on the 2 suspects and apprehended them. The stolen items were found in their possession, as well as drugs and dangerous weapons. Well done Sentinel Security teams for assisting the community.

House-breaker apprehended: Sentinel Security Control Room dispatched response and tactical teams to a distress call from a non-client stating that a house robber was back in his house to steal his belongings. Sentinel Security CCTV division monitors the next door neighbour and positively identified the suspect. A short search was conducted alongside other security companies and resulted in the positive arrest of the suspect. Well done to all involved in apprehending the suspect.

Sentinel Security Response teams alongside third-party guards apprehended the suspect whilst he was attempting to flee. The suspect had a bag filled with electrical cables which were stripped from machinery inside the factory area. Breaking implements were found on his possession. Suspect was arrested and handed over to SAPS.

Whilst on patrol Sentinel Security Response units spotted 3 suspects pulling a large piece of steel into a nearby veld. The suspects immediately fled as soon as Sentinel Response units stopped to approach. The stolen stock was recovered and subsequently returned to our client.

Sentinel Security employee whilst walking home noticed 3 suspects jumping over a factory wall. He immediately called control room for assistance in apprehending the suspects. Sentinel Response and Tactical units chased off to assist. The suspects were surrounded by Sentinel personnel and all 3 suspects were detained. Stolen goods were recovered and returned to Sentinel client.

Two wood pieces were seen sticking halfway out of the gate and the suspect was spotted by the gate busy pulling the stock out. Sentinel Security Response units gave chase and apprehended the suspect. The stock has subsequently been returned to client. Well done Sentinel teams for constant patrols bringing success.

Sentinel Security client called the Control Room stating that a suspect was busy vandalizing Council stormwater drainage covers. The suspect was detained across the road from where the drainage covers were damaged. Suspect confessed to breaking covers to obtain the pieces of steel inside the concrete. As a result, stormwater drains were blocked with large pieces of broken concrete. The drain was cleared so that roads would not flood. Sentinel subsequently logged a call with Council to replace broken drainage covers.

Sentinel Security management approved a strategic plan for the shutdown. Operations ran smoothly throughout the day in our areas of operation, besides minor incidents of road closures which were swiftly handled. Numerous protestors were subsequently arrested.

As soon as Sentinel Security Response member turned into the street, suspects began shooting at him and immediately fled in several getaway vehicles. One suspect was seen jumping into the site whilst the other suspect remained outside as a lookout. The suspect inside the yard immediately cut power to the site from the electrical DB box. This is a common crime trend as the first phase of a break-in where criminals attempt to deplete back-up battery supplies to alarm, fence and camera systems. This attempted break-in was brought to an abrupt halt by alert camera operators. Well done Sentinel teams.
