If we hit over 500k on ETH with a subpar app compared to what we have now, then it's about to get nasty once we push now hard. Millions of downloads and dozens of white labels are coming 100%

The performance of the price and the market is extremely abysmal and truly we feel extremely bad and in dismay for individuals who may have invested what they could not afford to lose in this crash

We started as a 2m market cap network in 2017, and we then went to 50m in 2018 and then back to 2m until 2020 covid time. And then we went to 500m fdv and then we have fallen back down horribly

Lack of marketing and community proliferation is to blame from our side however we had decided to wait to blast out on promotion and proliferation once we had the perfect app because the first impression is the best impression and we needed to make sure there are no user grievances

The strategy could have been wrong or right, we cannot say. However we are very certain of the future

Announcement: The Sentinel dVPN Network Stats Page will be live again within the coming days

Note: The image posted with this announcement is of a future Stats/explorer page design that will not be implemented in the immediate weeks

The Sentinel Stats back-end interface was rendered ineffective due to a lack of compatibility ever since dVPN node hosts had to upgrade to Wireguard dVPN Docker v0.3.1. The back-end for the stats page can be seen as a completely decentralized data query system where all of the data was derived from the Sentinel blockchain with no centralized servers keeping track of nodes and other metrics.

The previous back-end architecture was configured for the previous dVPN node docker images, however after significant changes in the dVPN node code - the back-end system had to be reconfigured to properly compile the data from Sentinel's Cosmos based Hub's blocks.

The network metrics has been on a very strong trajectory in recent times as will be displayed by the stats page very soon.

In response to the community discussion over whether 'Solar Labs dVPN application is better than Exidio dVPN app', it is important to re-state that Exidio continuously forked the core iOS/Android application that is being actively developed and upgraded by Solar Labs and there is a process of ongoing continuous bug fixing and application development from these earlier applications. The code for each application is available on GitHub and any centralized or decentralized development team can apply their own design or even edit the front-end interface and launch their own dVPN application that uses the global network of dVPN nodes. Teams can also opt to use the Sentinel-CLI to create build their own cross-platform applications and to not fork an existing 'ios' or 'android' dVPN application release that has been developed by another team like Solar.

The Meile dVPN team has already built a terminal user-interface for access the dVPN network without any incentivization or direct communication with the core Sentinel dVPN team, and is aiming to build a desktop dVPN application as well. Each dVPN white-labelled application built on the Sentinel dVPN node network increases the network's overall global reach as each white-label application is intended to target a different demographic and cultural audience.

The Exidio core team is not responsible for the functionality of the Exidio dVPN applications and was responsible more for ecosystem proliferation and marketing at the time while Solar Labs was responsible for the white-label application development on-top of the Sentinel-Cli and dVPN network protocol. As promised, the Solar Labs team continued to reiterate and improve the Android and iOS applications and these same applications would have been forked by Exidio today to target a different market audience. Due to the amicable and respectable departure, the Exidio applications have not been updated to Solar Labs most stable iOS/Android application releases. We would like to thank Dan and Peter specifically for all of the value added in the journey and internal rift is an unfortunate circumstance in the journey of many decentralized networks. The community can now focus on the rapid growth of the network both in-terms of dVPN node providers as well as application developers. Soon the Cosmos IBC network value and reputation will rise again after the UST debacle and there will be tremendous momentum and activity in the IBC ecosystem.

The recent volume of consumption of bandwidth is absolutely remarkable as the total consumption of bandwidth in the past week crossed 160 TB, which is greater than the total consumption on the Sentinel ETH based DVPN network which lasted for over a year.

Nodes are increasing, # of daily user sessions are increasing, data consumed is increasing, number of white-labels are increasing. The Sentinel ecosystem is going only in one direction and that direction is up!

Community hosted #dVPN exit-nodes on Sentinel have crossed 2000 for the first time since the network's inception in 2018.

Whether bull or bear, the utility of the $dVPN network has only increased since 2018. From 2018 to 2021 Sentinel's dVPN on ETH reached 500k + downloads.

From 2021 to current times, Sentinel's dVPN network on Cosmos has been growing exponentially in every metric whether it is the # of daily user sessions, or bandwidth consumed in a 24hr period.

The performance of Sentinel's dVPN network on Cosmos is much more impressive as compared to its performance on ETH as Sentinel's Cosmos based dVPN network is a paid service while the ETH based network was completely free and was more of a 'proof of concept'.

Sentinel's launch on Cosmos allows for users to make microtransactions for bandwidth purchases as compared to ETH's inefficient gas system.

The MathNodes team (involving @freQniKs and others) is building and will soon launch a desktop #dVPN application for Linux and Mac OS X devices. This desktop application runs on Sentinel's Hub and utilizes its community-hosted node pool.

The UI/UX and design is currently a work-in-progress and there will be continuous process of iteration as dVPNs built on Sentinel continuously upgrade over-time in order to have a similar aesthetic and user experience quality to that of centralized VPN applications.
