So in theory, it is impossible for the network to go down unless the chain goes down. Only if the validators are compromised can the dvpn network get compromised

Torrents use a system of DHT that depends on active peers uploading to seeders or now downloaders, however if the peer count drops then the torrent p2p network becomes weak

However using high throughput genius chain like cosmos we have the ability to have nodes identify their availability directly to the chain, and have the user interface with the chain to find the node
