The SOLAR #dVPN from SOLAR labs is now available to download on the @appstore

Ethereum was not the right solution because the throughput and the chain structure is very weak for our purpose, our mission was to create the first decentralized blockchain based DHT which we have successfully accomplished

If you see the number of transactions the sentinel network has it is one of the highest in the cosmos ecosystem, but these transactions are not token transfers but nodes communicating directly to the blockchain

The structure sentinel has is a structure that very few distributed services projects have, everyone relies on centralized masternode query mechanisms and the blockchain is just for transaction. However with the sentinel hub the chain itself is the super computer

in traditional dapps, you generally have a centralized server which identifies who is providing the service, so all the nodes connect to the centralized server and then the user connects to the centralized server to query which nodes are available and then establish a connection path

This is the weakness of centralized vpn architecture, even other centralized systems such as Amazon cloud

When Aws goes down its not the end destination cloud server that goes down in the data Center, it is the governance/query mechanism which connects the user to the service providing server

In sentinel the nodes communicate with the blockchain directly and the user application queries the list of populated nodes from the blockchain directly

So in theory, it is impossible for the network to go down unless the chain goes down. Only if the validators are compromised can the dvpn network get compromised

Torrents use a system of DHT that depends on active peers uploading to seeders or now downloaders, however if the peer count drops then the torrent p2p network becomes weak

However using high throughput genius chain like cosmos we have the ability to have nodes identify their availability directly to the chain, and have the user interface with the chain to find the node

What this means is that we can potentially create a revolution in the architecture of VPN applications in the industry as a whole. No longer do VPN companies need centralized structures which create vulnerabilities, they can transition to a ledger based structure for query

A vpn application is comprised of a few key elements which includes, centralized keystore/user access management, centralized node query, and centralized payment gateway

With sentinel we have the ability to decentralized the authentication/keystore with pub/priv key auth. We have the ability to decentralized the node query structure with our on chain DHT system, and also we have the ability to create decentralized payment structures for example the way you have to lock in tokens in the existing application
