Sentinel is excited to share a brand refresh announcement as part of the transition to Cøsmos. The strategy is to better demonstrate what Sentinel, the dVPN protocol, achieves. As Sentinel was the project to first bring decentralized VPN to the market, the change in its native token’s ticker is fitting. Upon swapping and mainnet trading, the ticker for Sentinel will change from $SENT to $DVPN.

We remain steadfast; Sentinel is committed to cultivating deep community ties and increasing user adoption across the globe. Our framework for creating new dVPNs is well positioned in this ever-changing space. We are excited to share the $DVPN change with the community.

Sentinel is honored to announce the list of genesis validators participating in the mainnet launch on the 27th of March.

Sentinel cannot thank every participant enough for allowing the final step towards @CosmosProject mainnet launch and #DVPN mass adoption.

With the imminent shift to mainnet, this document gives a basic introduction into the token economics that will exist on Sentinel's mainnet.

Sentinel would like to thank Akash Network for the inspiring work and research they have done in this domain.

This article provides a brief overview of the Sentinel Network’s token economics. Once the network goes live, Sentinel will be on Cosmos’s DPOS based network with staking/inflation reward. It is important that all the different users in the network are well versed with the economic structure so that they can understand how to best situate themselves to gain the most value from their stake and participation in the network. The token economics structure for Sentinel is inspired by Akash Network’s economic model and Sentinel would like to commend Akash network for the exceptional research and implementation that they have done in this area.

Sentinel is proud @Cosmostation decided to integrate the Sentinel blockchain. Sentinel's mainnet journey has just begun and there is already growing support across the @CosmosProject ecosystem.

The Sentinel native wallet client will have an updated version pushed live tomorrow, 28th of March, 2021, by 6:00pm UTC.

The updated version will have the Sentinel mainnet fully integrated. Holders will see their DVPN tokens and will be able to delegate them to validators directly within the client.

Sentinel's Official Native Cross-Platform Mainnet Wallet is Now Live:

This is a custom-built wallet that has been developed from scratch by the Exidio.co team which is spearheading development in the Sentinel ecosystem. Other Cosmos teams and developers are welcome to fork this wallet which is built on GO, and use it for the purposes of their own projects. There will be constant improvements and UI upgrades as well in the near future and soon the new Comsos based dVPN application will launch along with the wallet in the same client.

Users who have installed the previous wallet running on the testnet might need to delete the old configuration file because of the network change.

🎉🎊 After 3 years of consistent building, Sentinel has begun its mainnet journey and is transitioning its current ETH based $dVPN applications over to its own native Cosmos based chain. 🎊🎉

Sentinel's dVPN applications have proven traction, the next step is monetization. The architecture of the Sentinel network features both technical ingenuity as well as economic pragmatism.

The Sentinel Cosmos blockchain becomes the #dVPN server, dVPN applications will operate smoothly on Sentinel as long as Sentinel's own validators are not compromised.

Sentinel's new Wireguard based dVPN node on Cosmos also includes a HNS #Handshake network resolver.

Once the new Sentinel dVPN protocol built on Cosmos is configured for Open-WRT compatibility, all hardware routers which run Sentinel nodes will also run HNS resolvers.

While a #dVPN network allows a user to bypass restrictions set by their ISP, entities which control our centralized internet such as ICANN have the ability to restrict user access from any domain. $HNS empowers a decentralized and unrestricted parallel 'internet' network.

The Sentinel dVPN Hub Node has been configured to run on a Raspberry Pi using an OpenWRT docker image.
