Sentinel is planning to transition from its Ethereum based mainnet to its Cosmos based mainnet.

Its performance in the competition shows the competence of the development team with the understanding of the Cosmos ecosystem.

The Sentinel Turing-2 Cosmos testnet can be viewed at explorer.sentinel.co. A new client for the Tendermint testnet will be released in the coming days allowing for users to simulate in-wallet delegation and transfers in preperation for the mainnet.

The swap to the mainnet will only happen after Sentinel transitions from an anonymous underground team into its official corporate structure with its foundation being located in Switzerland. The process of formalization is underway.

The $SENT #dVPN #iOS application is coming closer to launch with the completion of the #IKEv2 integration.

As #iOS does not support the use of the #OpenVPN protocol in 3rd party #VPN applications, the current node list, nodes.sentinel.co, will not be accessible on iOS

Community based volunteers will be called upon to host the IKEv2 nodes for the iOS application.

With over 50,000 downloads on the Google Play store and network metrics exceeding previous records, the launch of the iOS application will only increase Sentinel's reach and expand it's target market.

The Sentinel ‘Node Incentivization Program’ has now ended after a duration of a little more than 1 year, and the ‘Node Mainnet Eligibility’ program will soon begin. In the past 1 year, over 15 Million Sentinel tokens have been paid out to community based node hosts who have provided bandwidth to tens of thousands of users on the Sentinel dVPN network.

We would like to thank everyone who has participated till date for their contribution to the growth of the network which has now reached a level of prominence and awareness with over 50k downloads on the Google Playstore and thousands of active daily users.

As the Sentinel network transitions into mainnet, nodes will be eligible to earn income from user subscriptions not only from the Sentinel B2C application, but also on the various white-labeled applications that will be hosted on the Sentinel dVPN protocol.

The $SENT iOS application is nearing the final stages of development with the focus primarily being on UI.

The application will be available on Testflight most likely within the next week, and will be open for suggestions and comments on how the UI/UX can be improved.

Currently the application will provide access to community hosted servers that are supporting the IKEV2 protocol so the node list on the iOS application will not be the same as the current OpenVPN node list. Future integration will include WireGuard which will also be supported on other platforms, allowing for further consolidation of nodes.

The iOS application will be fully open-sourced allowing for individuals and organziations alike to customize and build on it the way that the Android client is currently being built on. The iOS application will further expand the reach of the Sentinel dVPN application.

The multi-channel relayer used by the Sentinel team to achieve the highest throughput in the competition (transactions per second) has been fully open-sourced and is referenced in the blog post.

The Phase 2 of the GOZ competition tested the current version of the IBC protocol to it’s limits and allowed for unique strategies to be deployed that allowed participants to showcase their ingenuity in the aspect of increasing packet throughput. The Sentinel team believes that there is a lot of potential for optimization and refinement of the official Cosmos relayer and is eager to contribute and provide insight in terms of improvements to the relayer and the Cosmos IBC.

The $SENT ecosystem continuously strives to improve the UI/UX of the #Sentinel #dVPN in order to be on-par with mainstream #VPN apps.
