#SentinelTuring1 Testnet has crossed 1M blocks successfully even after undergoing a coordinated attack by the development team and validators.

Huge shout out to all the $SENT validators, the community and the active & enthusiastic teams that experiment with the network!

The Sentinel development team is very hard at work and is looking forward to a series of critical releases including and not limited to:

Sentinel has active development and there are 5+ updates waiting to be shared to the community at the right time. These include:

- Sentinel dVPN on Tendermint
- Sentinel Node Hosting with OpenVPN & WireGuard
- Sentinel's updated website
- Sentinel Desktop Client v2
- Private Nets within Sentinel
- Sentinel iOS Application
- Progress on the development required to kick start hardware integration with the SpiderVPN team
#NordVPN's compromise shows why it is imperative to use open-source #dVPN networks. In addition, any closed source VPN provider is capable of internal manipulation.

VPN services must be held to the same standards that Cryptocurrency wallet services are held to. If a user does not feel comfortable downloading a wallet that has not been peer-reviewed to examine the potential for manipulation, it does not make sense for the same user to trust an obscure closed-source VPN client.

Trust only open-source.

The $SENT team has been actively working on private networks since 2018 starting with the 0.0.43 client, and is now preparing to launch the functionality for public use.

#Sentinel will enable enterprises and individuals alike to host their own encrypted network of nodes.

For example, an online gaming organization can host nodes on it's own private net and rebrand Sentinel's open source mobile/desktop clients in order to provide a cost-effective self-branded VPN solution to its own userbase instead of recommending an alternate VPN solution.

The launch of private net functionality will mark the commencement of Sentinel's enterprise initiatives. The integration of the SpiderVPN ecosystem with Sentinel private nets will be the initial focus. Not only will SpiderVPN host a private net for it's thousands of hardware router users, owners of the SpiderVPN routers will also be allowed to host their own network that they can securely access when they are outside of their residence/office.
In gearing up for the release of Turing-2, commits from the private Sentinel development repo will be pushed to the public repo.

The month of November will see several critical releases for Sentinel as the ecosystem gears up for enterprise expansion and the proliferation of the private nets solution.

2. Explorer with Faucet
3. Telegram Bot for FAQ and other basic stuff
4. Desktop Client (to create an account)

Updated Client, iOS app and private nets will follow

The $SENT Turing-2 #Cosmos based hub is now live with transactions enabled. The new client and mobile applications will be released on this test-hub and the interaction between the #dVPN and the native blockchain will be visible.

Incentivization for the validators participating before swap to mainnet will be announced and participation is already being accounted for.

Sentinel is now getting closer on it's roadmap to swap over to it's native chain based on the Cosmos SDK which is powered by #Tendermint

#DidYouKnow

Sentinel $SENT has over 93 dVPN nodes on the Ethereum Network and enabled users to exchange over 164TB bandwidth/data through the network in 1.96M sessions!

Visit https://Sentinel.co to know more.

Check out the latest testnet, the explorer of Turing-2 - https://explorer.sentinel.co
The average length of $SENT #dVPN user sessions has been on a consistent uptrend while the 24hr bandwidth consumption is reaching 6 month highs.

With the release of the iOS application and fully new #Tendermint based clients the metrics will surpass previous ATH.

In 2020, Sentinel will have a very strong focus on the monetization of bandwidth as the #dVPN network will move onto the mainnet.

The focus in the coming month is primarily on the launch of the re-built clients, new website, and iOS application.
The new #SENT #dVPN client will allow for users to delegate/bond to a validator of their choice, directly from their wallet.

Validator participation in the current and previous testnet is being monitored and will be incentivized.

The Sentinel network has reached ATH 'organic network usage'.

Get the official client at:
https://github.com/sentinel-official/sentinel/releases

On Dec 30th 2019, users on the $SENT #dVPN network consumed over 930 GB of bandwidth resulting in the highest 'organic' usage of the network in a 24hr period in it's history

1.2 TB (within 24hr) was reached over 14 months ago, however during an incentivized #UtilityDrop event
A DNS glitch occurred at our end and has been addressed.

It is required for dVPN Ethereum and Tendermint Node Hosts to restart their nodes for being listed on any of the official clients.

We regret the inconvenience caused.

Please get in touch with the rest of the node hosts and the team on t.me/SentinelNodeNetwork in case of any issues with the above.

This informative Decentralized VPN Comparison has been released by the Mysterium team.

Now with the arrival of Orchid Protocol, the journey of the dVPN market segment begins. By 2022 we should see at least 5-10 more proficient contenders in the space as it receives more acknowledgement and recognition.

The dVPN projects are not competing against each other, but against the well established centralized VPN industry.

Eventually users will choose the service that emphasizes transparency and provability.

Whether this process takes 2, 5 or 10 years, depends on the success of the go-to-market strategies of dVPN networks

The Sentinel Telegram dVPN Network Bot is now live and can be accessed by messaging the username: @sentinel_network_bot on Telegram.

This bot is a critical utility for newcomers to the Sentinel ecosystem, and can be efficiently utilized to decrease the learning curve of understanding the purpose of the Sentinel dVPN network.

With the Sentinel Telegram Network Bot, prospective community members can effectively understand how one can participate in the network and equip themselves with the information and resources required to understand how to use the dVPN application, contribute bandwidth resource to the network, and also on how to play a role in the governance of the network .
