The #Sentinel #dVPN network has now reached over 100 active community hosted nodes. This is a monumental milestone that has been achieved, showing true network participation and interest from the community to potentially monetize on their own bandwidth.

Soon enough, owners of our partnered router will be able to seamlessly host a dVPN node at home (preferably on the relay network).

$SENT is delighted to announce a partnership with the creator of a powerful open-source router, SpiderVPN.org

- Monetization
(Routers can monetize on bandwidth on mainnet)
Thrilled to introduce the Sentinel dVPN to the privacy-centric $PIVX community through the #Zephyr Wallet integration.

With @cosmos IBC, we aim to introduce the Sentinel dVPN as a utility to other networks and communities. More on that soon, in a detailed blog post! $SENT

Announcing that the Node Incentivization for Month #3 have been distributed.

Only nodes with an uptime of 10 days or above have been rewarded.

Please note, due to on-going change in the registrar of sentinel.co, the domains and related sub-domains (nodes.sentinel.co and explorer.sentinel.co) will be down until further notice.
Sentinel's sentinel.co is up and is now running.

All sub-domains (explorer.sentinel.co and nodes.sentinel.co) are now active.

We thank the community for their patience.
#SentinelTuring1 underwent a coordinated attack by @DragonStake & @DelegaNetworks and the core team, to test the 34% attack on a dPOS network.

The #Sentinel team appreciates the efforts put in to execute it and below is a break down of how it was done.

#SentinelTuring1 Testnet has crossed 1M blocks successfully even after undergoing a coordinated attack by the development team and validators.

Huge shout out to all the $SENT validators, the community and the active & enthusiastic teams that experiment with the network!

The Sentinel development team is very hard at work and is looking forward to a series of critical releases including and not limited to:

Sentinel has active development and there are 5+ updates waiting to be shared to the community at the right time. These include:

- Sentinel dVPN on Tendermint
- Sentinel Node Hosting with OpenVPN & WireGuard
- Sentinel's updated website
- Sentinel Desktop Client v2
- Private Nets within Sentinel
- Sentinel iOS Application
- Progress on the development required to kick start hardware integration with the SpiderVPN team
#NordVPN's compromise shows why it is imperative to use open-source #dVPN networks. In addition, any closed source VPN provider is capable of internal manipulation.

VPN services must be held to the same standards that Cryptocurrency wallet services are held to. If a user does not feel comfortable downloading a wallet that has not been peer-reviewed to examine the potential for manipulation, it does not make sense for the same user to trust an obscure closed-source VPN client.

Trust only open-source.

Download the #Sentinel dVPN today, iOS coming soon.

The $SENT team has been actively working on private networks since 2018 starting with the 0.0.43 client, and is now preparing to launch the functionality for public use.

#Sentinel will enable enterprises and individuals alike to host their own encrypted network of nodes.

For example, an online gaming organization can host nodes on it's own private net and rebrand Sentinel's open source mobile/desktop clients in order to provide a cost-effective self-branded VPN solution to its own userbase instead of recommending an alternate VPN solution.

The launch of private net functionality will mark the commencement of Sentinel's enterprise initiatives. The integration of the SpiderVPN ecosystem with Sentinel private nets will be the initial focus. Not only will SpiderVPN host a private net for it's thousands of hardware router users, owners of the SpiderVPN routers will also be allowed to host their own network that they can securely access when they are outside of their residence/office.
In gearing up for the release of Turing-2, commits from the private Sentinel development repo will be pushed to the public repo.

The month of November will see several critical releases for Sentinel as the ecosystem gears up for enterprise expansion and the proliferation of the private nets solution.

The $SENT Turing-2 #Cosmos based hub is now live with transactions enabled. The new client and mobile applications will be released on this test-hub and the interaction between the #dVPN and the native blockchain will be visible.

Incentivization for the validators participating before swap to mainnet will be announced and participation is already being accounted for.

Sentinel is now getting closer on it's roadmap to swap over to it's native chain based on the Cosmos SDK which is powered by #Tendermint

The average length of $SENT #dVPN user sessions has been on a consistent uptrend while the 24hr bandwidth consumption is reaching 6 month highs.

With the release of the iOS application and fully new #Tendermint based clients the metrics will surpass previous ATH.

In 2020, Sentinel will have a very strong focus on the monetization of bandwidth as the #dVPN network will move onto the mainnet.

The focus in the coming month is primarily on the launch of the re-built clients, new website, and iOS application.
