"This new subsidiary body is furthermore charged with defending all living [sentient?] creatures present and future who cannot speak for themselves by promoting their legal standing and physical protection." - Kim Stanley Robinson's The Ministry of the Future. #Sentientism #SciFi
If people are experiencing a "crisis of meaning", can worldviews like @sentientism (evidence, reason and compassion for all sentient beings) help?
The threats & opportunities of tool AI are driven by the worldviews of their human designers & users.

The threats & opportunities of agentic AI are driven by the AIs’ own worldviews.

Either way, the @sentientism worldview would be radically better than default human worldviews.

If our worldview hard-codes in even one specific, unchallengeable belief isn’t it, by definition, dogmatic?
Is the Sentientism worldview anti-dogmatic or a dogma?
Is "evidence, reason and compassion for all sentient beings" so generic it says nothing, or does it drive radical change?

Religious Education teachers might be the most important people 🤩
They're helping kids to explore, understand and examine worldviews and to shape their own.
I've been lucky to present to hundreds of them about the #Sentientism worldview in recent months at conferences and network events. Here's a recent recording.
