Food Not Bombs is a mutual aid network that started in Boston and has spread to hundreds of cities all over the world.
The Beirut chapter was first established in April 2020 and, to date, has prepared and distributed more than 8000 meals in several areas to protestors, strikers, marginalized communities as well as volunteers and responders to the Beirut blast.
Their aim is to spread food community initiatives and kitchens as an alternative to the clientism of the state.

A 37-year-old syndicalist worker and S.I. Cobas union rep called Adil was run over and killed earlier this morning by a truck forcing a picket, breaking through a barrier and then dragging them ten meters before driving off.
The driver was arrested and charged on suspicion of homicide.
