The Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood, trained and supported by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has been designated by @StateDept as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Specially Designated Global Terrorist for mass executions of civilians. We will continue to use all available tools to deprive the Iranian regime and Muslim Brotherhood chapters of the resources they need to engage in or support terrorism.

Cuba’s economy doesn’t work. It has survived on subsidies from the Soviet Union and now from Venezuela. They don’t get subsidies anymore so they’re in a lot of trouble.

Earlier this month, I met Molly, Amy, and Patti as they asked for help freeing their brother Dennis Coyle from detention in Afghanistan. Today, Dennis is on his way home. We thank the UAE and Qatar for their support. The release is a positive step towards ending the practice of hostage diplomacy.

@SecRubio on the Iranian regime: "These people will kill as many Americans as they have a chance to do, and if they have a nuclear weapon... they could kill millions of Americans... and that is a risk that was NOT going to continue to exist as long as we had this president."

SECRETARY RUBIO on the G7: I don’t work for France or Germany or Japan. I get along with all of them on a personal level and we work with those governments very carefully.

But the people I'm interested in making happy are the people of the United States. I work for them.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. A couple leaders said that Iran was not Europe’s war. Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The Strait of Hormuz could be open tomorrow if Iran stops threatening global shipping, which is an outrage and a violation of international law. For all these countries that care about international law, they should be doing something about it.

SECRETARY RUBIO on help from the G7: It’s not help for us. Like I said, very little of U.S. energy comes through the Strait of Hormuz. It's the world that has a great interest in that. So they should step up and deal with it.

Today at the G7 I reiterated that President Trump is committed to reaching a ceasefire and negotiated settlement to the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as possible.

Our mission is clear. Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon. In my meeting with the G7 foreign ministers, I reiterated that we must meet this moment with maximum partner contributions.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: NATO wasn’t there for us. We send billions of dollars to them every year to protect them. We would have always been there for them. But based on their actions, I guess we don’t have to be, do we?

Why would we be there for them if they’re not there for us?

SECRETARY RUBIO: Here are the clear objectives of the operation. You should write them down:

1. The destruction of Iran’s air force
2. The destruction of their navy
3. The severe diminishing of their missile launching capability
4. The destruction of their factories

SECRETARY RUBIO: It’s disappointing to see that in a time of need for the United States, we have countries like Spain, a NATO member that we are pledged to defend, denying us the use of their airspace and bragging about it.
