Wondering who to buy from?
I’ve been a broker for 6 years and have seen dozens of people get scammed out of their life savings because they didn’t take the time to verify who they were chatting with.
Always assume that the person chatting with you on Telegram is a look-a-like scammer account pretending to be legitimate seller.
There are four possible steps to buying safely:
1. Please check with the members of the @CryptoMiningScams group before sending anyone your bitcoin. Buy from any source you prefer and report your observations in that group.
2. Stick to verified & reputable sellers. You might think you are paying more by using an established broker, but in the end, if you get scammed by trying to save a few dollars by purchasing from an unknown seller, are you really saving a buck? One of the best places to find deals on mining equipment is: https://to.tools/verified-sellers 👈🏼 This is a list of verified Telegram channels, groups and equipment brokers.
3. Check a user’s Telegram handle and their public group participation history using @validate_bot 👈🏼 Just select a message you received from a user (from a DM or from a group chat) and forward it to @validate_bot and it will reply with information about that user. Or, copy/paste the user’s username directly into the bot.
4. Use the new verification and reputation bot that @offordscott is building. Soon, you’ll be able to check against a database of verified Telegram handles to see if you’ve done business with them before or to see how many successful transaction they’ve conducted in the past. Keep an eye out for that.
