♨️Treatment of snake venum:-
1/assurance of the patient
2/ prevention of spread of venom by:
- immobilization and
- tourniquets (blocking only venous & lymphatic return, not arterial flow).
3/ i.v line (two axis lines)
4/ antivenin skin test (for hypersensitivity reaction).
5/use of antivenin.--> (polyvalent)يُفضل
6/ supportive therapy:
🔅 If cytolytic:- give the patient:-
a) heparin 5000 iu
b)fresh blood (if anemic)
or fresh plasma (no anemia)
c) fibrinogen
c) hydrocortisone
d) antihistamines
🔅 If neurotoxic :- give the patient
a)physiostigmin , neostigmine
b)atropin
c) care of respiration
d) hydrocortisone
e) antihistamines
