With Senator Lindsey Graham’s passing, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster will appoint an interim U.S. senator to fill the immediate vacancy.

There is no legal deadline for him to make the appointment, but once he does, he has five days to formally call a special election.

Because Senator Graham had already secured the Republican nomination in the June primary, there are now two separate processes underway: an interim appointment to fill the current Senate vacancy and a special Republican primary to choose a new GOP nominee for the November general election. (If necessary, a runoff would also be held.)

Those are separate processes, so the interim appointee and the eventual Republican nominee could be the same person but they don’t have to be.

Governor McMaster has long been one of President Trump’s earliest and strongest political allies, so this vacancy is not expected to change Republican control of the seat. Given that Senator Graham was a co-sponsor of the SAVE AMERICA ACT, McMaster will likely be looking for an interim appointee who supports Trump’s America First legislative priorities and can help maintain continuity in the Senate.

ALCON: Good Morning. Thought it might be time for a history lesson with respect to Lindsy Graham's passing from a "brief and sudden illness..."...

It was time for him to exit stage left. His job/role is done. Remember, Graham, along with noname and others along with the FILTHY [kenyan] were instrumental in helping to set up [isis] in Syria for the [cia/mossad]. He has a lot more serious detriments in his background.... We don't need to go into his Kavanaugh hearing and his line of questioning....that's already been covered here long ago, and again this morning.

That said, 9 called me a little while ago and told me. I turned on the TV, and it was the thing Fox was talking about. Its going to take up the entire day today on the FAKE NEWS, probably across all FAKE NEWS channels. They were speculating as to how he will or could be replaced....ugh.

History lesson.

History lesson, and I've discussed this before. Under the original 1789 Constitution for the United States, senators were APPOINTED by the State's Governor (elected by the people) as the Governor's state representative. Meaning, the senator acted on behalf of the Governor.

I began to wonder if perhaps its time for people to learn this historical fact, using Graham as the example. Interestingly, or not, it was obvious the Fox panel doesn't know this historical reality.

Since Trump Restored the Republic on Jan20, 2017, and since we are at the end of this nightmare, wouldnt it be cool if we get this History lesson?

The American Accountability Foundation, working with the Mass Deportation Coalition, published a report finding that 𝟏𝟏 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 collectively took $𝟖,𝟑𝟏𝟐,𝟓𝟕𝟒 in campaign contributions from construction, hospitality, agriculture and senior-housing industries that depend heavily on foreign labor (Daily Signal).

The senators named: Thune, Barrasso, Britt, Cassidy, Collins, Cornyn, Lankford, McConnell, 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐤𝐢, Tillis and Sullivan. Individual totals the report surfaced run from Sen. John Thune's $1.58 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 down to Sen. John Barrasso's $620,000.

The report ties those donations directly to a vote that matters: in June, Murkowski was one of only four Republicans — alongside McConnell, Collins and Tillis — who voted to strip the 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐀𝐜𝐭 (S.3752) from a DHS funding bill. That bill would require proof of citizenship to register to vote.

Every senator on the list insists the donations had no bearing on the vote. The industries writing the checks happen to be the same ones that rely on the labor pool a citizenship-verification law would help police.

Gov McMaster will appoint the seat and then a special election for a new primary then general election.

The time table will be set by Gov after mourning has taken place. But no (real) time table because we are over a 100 before general election . However even after someone is appointed a special election primary will take place. As will a special general election
