The German government under Chancellor Friedrich Merz is funding a nationwide campaign promoting the slogan "Muslims: A part of you!" as part of its "Action Weeks Against Anti-Muslim Racism." The whole program is funded at the expense of German taxpayers.

The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs has awarded €624,997 in 2026 to CLAIM, the organization coordinating the campaign, which includes billboards, exhibitions, conferences, school programs and public events across Germany.

The funding has drawn criticism because CLAIM inherited the structures and staff of a previous alliance of around 50 Muslim organizations that was dissolved in 2025. Germany's domestic intelligence services tied that network to groups linked to political Islam, including Muslim Brotherhood circles and Hamas-supporter networks.

It's been reported that the majority of refugees to be imported into the UK under Shabana Mahmood's new scheme are set to be from Sudan and Eritrea.

The UK Government advises against all travel to Sudan due to the ongoing armed conflict, widespread violence, armed robbery, kidnapping, and the collapse of essential services, making it extremely dangerous for civilians.

These sound like perfect people to allow into our bedrooms for £350 a month?

Women and children in Sudan have been particularly affected, with sexual violence, including rape, gang rape, sexual slavery, and abuse of girls and, in some cases, very young children.

So let's just take the women and children then?

Trump and the End of the Rules Based Illusion on America’s 250th Birthday

As the U.S. nears its 250th birthday, it is finally confronting a truth Alexander Hamilton would have recognised instantly: the comforting story of a post World War II “rules based order” was flawed from the start.

For three generations, Western technocrats claimed that a thicket of treaties and institutions had transcended power politics. The IMF, World Bank, UN, GATT/WTO, NATO, and a growing universe of regimes were marketed as neutral mechanisms for producing “the global interest”. In practice, they locked in a particular hierarchy of interests and dressed it up as law. Sovereignty, industrial policy, and hard national advantage were treated as relics to be moralized away.

From the beginning, the system was structurally flawed. It claimed universality while being designed for a U.S. led Atlantic bloc. Keynes explicitly warned as much at Bretton Woods.

As postcolonial nations, China, and revanchist Russia entered, you could no longer aggregate radically divergent preferences into one coherent “global will” and still pretend neutrality.

The “rules” defaulted to serving familiar winners, offshored supply chains, falling standards of living, financialized economies, and open ended security commitments.

Basic economics reinforces the point. In a closed world economy, global surpluses and deficits must net to zero; someone must absorb everyone else’s mercantilism and excess savings.

For decades, the U.S. played that role, running deficits and underwriting demand. A 250 year old republic with frayed infrastructure, social division, and fiscal strain can no longer pretend that being consumer, creditor of last resort, and global policeman is a free lunch.

President Trump’s heresy is to say the quiet part out loud: there is no view from nowhere, no “international community” above nations. Rules that do not serve American security, prosperity, and cohesion are not sacred; they are policy choices, and they can be revoked. America First is not isolationism but the adult recognition that every order has a sovereign and every rulebook has losers.

Hamilton, Clay, and Jackson would have recognised the principle: standards and institutions must serve national development, not abstract cosmopolitan ideals. For years, the U.S. has lived under standards written by global technocrats; as Secretary Bessent notes, “standards are strategy”, and if America does not write them, it will live under those written by others.

On America’s 250th birthday, the task is Hamiltonian in spirit: to design a new order in which rules and standards are explicitly calibrated to American strength, security, and productive capacity, and answerable to the citizens who bear their costs.
