1- set the scene of the audio materials for your ss using visuals. This will help them recall Vocabulary and information related to the topic. Some of your ss are ready now.

2- if there are written questions about the audio materials, let ss read them and highlight key words such as "how much/many/old", such words indicate that they will look for a number so they will narrow the range of search.

3- Let your ss know that they will listen to the answers in the same sequence of the given questions.

4- tell them they don't have to understand every single word, at least for now.

5- train them on understanding meaning of the big idea from the context. e.g. if they hear the following words ( booking, airport, flight, hotel, sightseeing...), These words infer that the big idea is " on a VACATION."
