🌧️ Types of Rainfall
Rainfall can be classified into three main types based on its origin:
Convectional Rainfall
🌡️ Occurs when heated air rises, cools, and forms cumulus clouds, leading to intense but short-lived rainfall.
🌍 Common in equatorial regions and during hotter parts of the day.
⚡ Often accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and even hail.
Orographic Rainfall
🏔️ Happens when moist air is forced to rise over a mountain.
💧 The windward side receives heavy rain, while the leeward side, known as the "rain shadow," remains dry.
Cyclonic (Frontal) Rainfall
🌪️ Caused by the interaction of warm and cold air masses during cyclonic activity.
🌫️ Forms clouds and brings steady rainfall lasting for hours or even days.
