PRATHAM PAG STUDENTS WITNESSED RANJI TROPHY MATCH AT ABHIMANYU CRICKET STADIUM

Pratham Pag-the foundation wing of Doon Defence Academy is regularly organizing trekking expeditions, functions, celebrations, and adventure events. On the 3 rd of January, Ranji Trophy Cricket Match was held at Abhimanyu Cricket Stadium in Dehradun and the place was 8 Km away from Doon Defence Academy Campus. Doon Defence Academy organized a trekking excursion to Abhimanyu Cricket Stadium located 8 km from Doon Defence Academy Campus for the students of Pratham Pag as DDA’s wanted the students to watch the Ranji Trophy Match that was organized between the two teams representing West Bengal and Uttarakhand on 3rd January 2023. The main objective of organizing this trekking journey to the Cricket stadium was to make the students tough and develop in them the spirit of patriotism and analytical ability regarding how to achieve new goals through hard work and dedication.
The students were escorted by the hostel wardens and members of the administration including the Director Mr Sandeep Gupta on their trekking journey and the students relished nature’s beauty on their way to Abhimanyu Cricket Stadium. Refreshments were served to the students when they reached the Cricket Stadium. They were also served with a sumptuous lunch after the trekking expedition to the stadium. They enthusiastically witnessed the match between the two rival teams while also cheering for the team representing Uttarakhand team. Uttarakhand won the toss and decided to field. The Uttarakhand bowlers bowled extremely well and competed with great zest to win the match. The Umpires were Abhijit Deshmukh and Sabyasachi Sarkar. As spectators, the Pratham Pag students cheered the team representing the Uttarakhand team and exhibited immense excitement. Uttarakhand came to bat in the second half. After a tough front put up by both teams, the match was drawn. The man of the match was AR Easwaran. Bengal scored 387 all out with no wickets left. Uttarakhand scored 272 all out at 105.3 overs. Pratham Pag students confessed to having a refreshing and very adventurous trekking experience and they really appreciated the efforts made by the Pratham Pag administration for organizing the trekking expedition, the refreshments, the lunch, and above all the most exciting Cricket Match to boost their courage and to develop the mental and physical tenacity which is generally lacking in the technology-driven youngsters of today due to lack of physical activity. The mentors of DDA are doing a fantastic task in making the youngsters agile and tough by making them achieve challenging goals full of adventure and excitement.
