Howdy yall sorry for the time between posts, alot of things have happened over the past few days.

1. The plum trees came into bloom...... I didn't know I had plum trees🤣

2. We got the second layer on our lasagna/back to eden garden laid out. And started getting the compost on the top today.
Layers are as follows, forest floor duff (thank you Jesus), deep bedding from the winter (manure and hay)
And then compost from a friend!

3. We also modified our chicken coop so that the door could keep the goats out and allow the chickens to come and go freely.

4. We made a new addition to the farm. Meet our new Tom turkey named Angus!!! He is a bourbon red and hopefully just the first of a new flock. As soon as we find a hen he will have more company, until then he can hang out with the chickens and goats
THANKS FOR FOLLOWING!!!

Welcome to the new episode S&B's cribs. My name is Angus and I am about to move into this awesome new house that my dad built for me in just 3 hours... (you can tell it) no magic is happening here yet because I am single and ready to mingle so if you are a pretty hen and in need of a home hit me up
It's raining today, so probably not much exciting going on. I'm thankful for the rain though, because apparently much of the US is in super drought. So every drop is a blessing.
Well yall it is finally done... ish. Everything that I have to direct seed is planted. I still have a lot of mater and pepper starts and a few other things as well in the green house waiting to go in. It's been a hard few days but totally worth it to see it all in there. A friend and I were talking about technique the other day. I told him that mine was to pray, plant, pray, water, and pray again😁. Gardening is not my forte. But maybe my technique will win out this year! Yall have a blessed day
Farming in the woods. Shoot  just plain living in the woods can be exciting, dangerous, exhilarating and depressing all rolled into one. It comes with alot of challenges. Permaculture, if you follow that teaches about zones. I am not sure about all of the zones except for #1 and #5.

Zone 1 is where you do all of your living. So basically all around and in your house. This is where you want your garden to be as well anything that needs constant attention.

Zone 5 is the places that you leave wild or don't touch at the moment. For one of 2 reasons. One reason you want to preserve the wild landscape or as is my case you haven't had the time to put your dreams into action.
