I really wish I would have taken before and after pictures. I have probably cut at least 30 or 40 trees out of this area
Well yall I thought I would share something my wife wrote. But before I do let me tell you about this amazing woman. She is the hardest working woman I have ever met. She goes along with most of my crazy farming schemes and helps me to accomplish my goals. No matter the endeavor she is always there and willing to help in every way she can. She manages the day to day on the farm. And handles 99% of the chores during my work week as well as keeping house and keeping things in order for me.
I knew Christ before I met my wife but she has brought me closer to him than I ever was. God truly used her as a conduit to get to me. I now consider Christ not only my King but also my friend.
Men should you find a woman that cares for Christ, you and his creation as much as mine does hold on to her, marry her and never take her for granted.
My wife's name is Chellie I would live to post a picture of her but she is camera shy. Alas maybe one day😁. The following is what she wrote this morning.
I was down in the pasture this morning to feed the chickens and goats. I sat in a chair I keep down there petting my goats. They gather around me clamoring for my attention and even get jealous of each other for it. And I pondered what it was like when Adam named all the animals and birds. I love my goats and they love me. But I have one in particular that really LOVES me. He's a 7 year old wether that I've had since he was 3 months old. He very actively seeks my affection and follows me everywhere. It never fails to amaze me how we can form such close bonds with critters. Genesis 2: 19-20 tells about how God brought the animals and birds to Adam to see what he would name them. And he named them all. Imagine coming up with all those names! God created them from the dust of the earth, but gave the task of naming them to the man He created also from the dust of the earth. I think this was to cement good stewardship in us. If you name an animal, it becomes yours, and that ties you to it beyond just a mouth to feed. Ýou will also care about it's entire well being and perhaps even feel genuine love for them as I do. I believe that even a critter that is bound for eventual slaughter is entitled to as good a life as you can give it. And a little scratch behind the ears every now and then doesn't hurt either. Adam may not have given them special names like Fido or Fluffy, but who knows? Maybe he did. But he had the extreme privaledge of giving them their first names that distinguishes one kind of creature from another just upon hearing the word. That puts me in awe that The Lord God Almighty gave such a gift to man. And so many more that I couldn't even begin to state, nor am I even aware of everything He has done and will do for us. We should all gather around God the Father and Jesus Christ His son who died for us on the cross and crave their love and affection like the goats I mentioned. After all, HE named us

Short video for yall. I found an app that compresses the data so it shouldn't be as taxing on yalls data plans
Howdy yall sorry for the time between posts, alot of things have happened over the past few days.
1. The plum trees came into bloom...... I didn't know I had plum trees🤣
2. We got the second layer on our lasagna/back to eden garden laid out. And started getting the compost on the top today.
Layers are as follows, forest floor duff (thank you Jesus), deep bedding from the winter (manure and hay)
And then compost from a friend!
3. We also modified our chicken coop so that the door could keep the goats out and allow the chickens to come and go freely.
4. We made a new addition to the farm. Meet our new Tom turkey named Angus!!! He is a bourbon red and hopefully just the first of a new flock. As soon as we find a hen he will have more company, until then he can hang out with the chickens and goats
