Ever been in a new area and had no clue where to catch a taxi? Or felt too shy to ask someone? I’ve been there. I also know how awkward it can be to ask how much money you’ll need for the taxi. That’s why I made Redat a site to help you figure out where to take the taxi you need and how much it might cost, without any awkwardness

What Redat Does

Finds Your Taxi Spot: Enter where you are and where you want to go, and Redat shows you exactly where to find the taxi for that route

Money Info: It even gives you an idea of how much the taxi might cost, so you’re not caught off guard

No Stress, No Questions: No need to ask anyone just check the site, and you’re good to go

Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript, Shadcn UI
Backend: Go

Frontend:https://github.com/Samuel-Fikre/Redat
Backend:https://github.com/Samuel-Fikre/Redat-Backend

I’ve added some basic info but it’s not complete or super accurate yet I didnt even connect all of them yet. That’s why I created a Contribute page

We got a good amount of contributions..thank you
For this week project, the idea I had was this: as Habeshas, when we get a call from an unknown number, we often save the number to telegram to see who it is. To reduce this friction, I thought of building an app that acts as a caller but does all of this automatically while the phone is still ringing.(It shows their telegram name)

The only downside is that it requires a network connection at the moment. As I mentioned earlier, these two weeks are finals. I know I said I don’t care about grades, but I still don’t want to fail😂. I need to focus and knock out these exams first. So, I won’t be dedicating my time to this project this week cause I think it will take a lot of time and i am new to app development so all of this in week will crush me.

We’ll work on this project after the two weeks. For now, I’ll continue building smaller, creative projects to stay in shape, but they’ll remain simple. I’ll also keep posting content throughout the week so yeah.

Have a good night!❤️

Oooh I Missed the core idea of the project I missed that part when writing it.😑Now I Edited Out.So Again What the project was meant to be is this when we get call from unknown number we save it to telegram aydel bzu gize then see who it is..so the idea of this app is to reduce that friction it will save the number and search it on telegram and will give you the name if they have telegram you don't need to manually save the number or search it.
