Congratulations Swapnil.

I never endorse glorifying Toppers & Faculties.

But i would recommend that you follow my student Swapnil to take inspiration from his struggle.

Swapnil is an old student of mine (2018).
Son of a rickshaw driver in Nashik.
He cracked CSE thrice.
IRPS, IPS & now IAS.

You must take inspiration from people who found their ways through tough times and still remain grounded.

Please Note:
πŸ‘‰ We do not run any free Mock Interview Program to take roll numbers of candidates & hence, do not claim hundreds of toppers every year like other institutes/platforms.
πŸ‘‰ Our toppers have been Rohit sir students for a long period of time through lectures, notes and mentorship.
πŸ‘‰ Since our courses are extremely affordable and our enrollments being on the higher side, we should claim a lot more toppers.

But still there are a few challenges:
1. We never ask for our students Phone Number or Roll Number as part of our student-centric Policies. We never spam-call our students urging them to buy our courses. If you like the quality, then only buy.
2. This is why we heavily rely on students informing us about their results.
3. A lot of students fail to inform us on time. For example, i just got to know about my student Ayushi Kalwar after 13 months (UPSC 2021 IRS). She was my student and also follows me on Instagram but was late to share her result.

I do not feel disheartened as my satisfaction is always on the higher side having helped hundreds of students successfully crack UPSC, PCS & other exams. 😊

I generally do not feel disheartened as it is my students hardwork that paid off. I am just a catalyst.
Also, i must also admit that a student might take subscriptions or help from more than one source and on getting overwhelming results/ranks and pressure of training may lead to them forgetting to inform.

But, there have been 3 cases where i felt extremely disheartened when 3 particular students distanced away just to claim that they had prepared on their own and it helped them gain huge popularity and followers on social media (100k+ for each).

I went out of my way to teach them, mentor them till the last day of interview.
All 3 of them girls (1 IAS, 1 IPS, 1 IFS). Different batches in last 5 years.
I was waiting for their results and was very hopeful.

Student 1 (IFS)
- Wrote her name on the Answer Sheet in 1st Paper (Essay).
- Wanted to skip rest papers thinking her candidature is cancelled.
- I convinced her to give the rest papers assuring that she is fine.
- Mentored her during Mains to ensure her confidence remains high.
- Her candidature was not cancelled. She cracked the exam and she is now into Indian Foreign Service.
- She claimed that she did it by herself in her first attempt and no classes, no mentorship. She went viral on social media.
- She never informed me about her result. I reached out after a month on Instagram congratulating her & she replied β€œThank You sir” and unfollowed after a few days.

Student 2 (IAS)
- Prelims Test Series student.
- Was extremely tensed 3-4 days before her Interview as her EWS documents were not ready.
- Went out of my way to ensure her document format was ready and helped her remain calm a day before the Personality Test.
- She cracked the exam but did not inform me about her result.
- I messaged her to congratulate and later asked if she would be available for the Samajho Toppers Talk Show. She kept postponing and it could never happen.

Student 3 (IPS)
- She was a student and later an employee at Samajho.
- Our organisation supported her financially for a long time during lockdown even after she left to ensure that she cracks the exam.
- I spent 100+ hours to help her get out of depression and uncertainty as she was a bright and deserving student but failures were getting into her head.
- Finally she cracked the exam. Did not inform us and is claiming she always believed in herself and life was easy.

Why am i telling you this?

1. Venting it out.
2. Students should not blindly follow a topper story as many are fabricated.
3. Feel free to find inspirations outside β€œUPSC” that can help you stay motivated and crack UPSC.
4. All three of them know that i will never take names and their version of preparation would always remain intact.
5. All three of them know that i will never share deep details. What i have shared above is just the overview.

I never wanted anyone to say β€œTHANK YOU”.
I just desire my students to just write β€œHELLO SIR. I CRACKED THE EXAM. I AM HAPPY”.

Your happiness is our happiness.

UPSC Preparation will test your character. Stay true to yourself and work hard. Your challenges will multiply multifold once you take your postings after training. The solutions to those problems lie in your stability as a human with a clean conscience.

All the Best
Stay Grounded.

I would like to know your opinion about this. Am i right or wrong?
