Attended an Orthodox Romanian christening today. Wonderfully ornate church typical of Orthodoxy.

The church itself was 600 years old, obviously it wasn’t Orthodox Romanian when built but the church-going British population has cratered and the Romanians have clearly grown enough that they could justify taking over the building.

I mean, look, they intended to have a group at Leeds Pride parade the day after DQSH but the danger of getting beaten up by the assorted gays was too much.

From the audio it sounds like they claim to be arresting him on grounds of compromising the trial and threatening someone? Bollocks. They keep trotting out these historic abuse cases as if the issue is being handled but we know full well that this abuse continues unabated.

For it to take over 10 years for this to reach trial is a shambles, time and time again it's these huge delays. If the evidence is strong enough for conviction 10-20 years on, how strong was it within the first year? How many more could've been caught and charged if these investigations were pursued with the appropriate resources?
Are we to accept trials in 2040 for crimes in 2022? Crimes that police have admitted that they're are unwilling to pursue? Crimes that councils endeavour to cover up?
