I really can’t recommend climbing enough, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the sport.
The blend of strength, flexibility and dexterity required is fantastic, you can see and feel your progression as you dedicate more time to it.
Understanding the way your body moves, how turning your knee inwards can give you the extra reach needed, how your weight can be held by your fingertips alone at the right angle, you become conscious of every limb, what’s taking weight, what’s counterbalancing, what could be better used to take the strain off another or make the next move easier.
A huge thankyou to the close friend who introduced me to it back in October and continues to aid my progress.

Also, I accidentally shaved too close this morning so had to make a drastic decision.
I tried a goatee and a ‘stache but both looked trash on me so had to full Egg-Mode 🥚
My wife and child don’t recognise me though so growing it back in.

Patriotic Alternative has decided to go back to basics for the month of April and dedicate a whole month to raising awareness of what we believe to be the single largest issue we face today: the changing demographics of Great Britain.

Just finished a job and got talking to a pair of artists who were painting a mural in Armley, Leeds.
“You’re viewing the world through a hippo’s mouth.”
I immediately raised an eyebrow but apparently the Armley hippo is something of a local icon.
In the 1850s a hippo skeleton was unearthed in the area! After dating it was determined that Armley was a popular watering hole about 150,000 years ago, a skeleton of an elephant and a now-extinct deer were also found nearby.
A local graffiti tagged uses a hippo as their logo and there’s another mural down the road.
It’s still got some work to do but I lent the lady my ladders as she was standing precariously on the far railing, over a rather large drop, trying to get a picture.
Benches are being installed later this week and it should look pretty cool, especially from the nearby block of flats.
