Having been actively involved in politics on a local and county level for a number of years now, I can illustrate the situation as thus; radicals, whether right or left, do exist and are generally more organised than the mass of people who dedicate their time to political action. However, do not assume that moderate mid-wits are not a force to be reckoned with. These types are generally nice people who just want to help within their community: they are the backbone of any society. Conversely they tend to be stuck in old political outlooks, lack a good grasp of the overall political situation and lack direction especially at key moments, but they are the majority.

As for radicals, I have encountered mostly left-wing, rabid communist types, who are very well organised, funded and mentored. I managed to re-take my local council from them, and they used to chair meetings wearing t-shirts with Stalin or Lenin's face on. Do not underestimate these people. They are totally committed.

It is our duty to get organised and involved in politics at every level, but especially the local. By failing to do so, we are allowing our enemies total control over our communities and are refusing to take our role as spokesmen for our own people seriously. We have got to be committed, serious, competent, know how political orgs work, and above all, leaders and mentors in our community.
